What are you doing today 2023

Continue to sort through stuff.. this AM it was a shelf in the laundry room. All those rolls of packing tape I bought ‘cause I couldn’t find any… yep, I found a bunch… now have enough for the next 20 yrs. Same with envelopes.

Why did I need like 7 plastic vials of mechanical pencil lead? 🧐. What possessed me to purchase more than one photo album with plastic sleeves or a cellophane pkg of black pipe cleaners? (I get these crafty spurts and then —pffft). A zip lock bag full of staples (was looking for that Saturday). Etc, etc, etc.

Yesterday……Had a great coffee visit with a friend…..I splurged and had a hazelnut cappuccino, it was soooooooo good.
And, yes…..I remembered how to behave in public. 😉☺️😆.
We chattered the whole morning away…..got home to my very starving guys, because their lunch was 30 minutes late !!!!!!😉.
Today…..recycle bin to the curb…..inside stuff.

Hazelnut cappuccino! I think I will get one of those today :)

Got the wall above my desk wiped down & pictures rearranged.

Took down all the granddaughter's pictures ,replaced it with one of all of them .

Wall looks a bit bare,,may add another picture.
Perhaps wait a bit, and you might adjust to it, and like the new way. I've been surprised how often it happens to me, when I make a change.
But definitely change it or add to it, immediately, if you want to!:giggle: YOU know yourself and your walls, far better than I could!😁

Yet, this is a forum, so we always add our 2 cents, whether it makes sense to someone else or not!:ROFLMAO::love:

@StarSong I baked a lot, but only at home except for one year that I made and sold cheesecakes in our neighborhood. I made a nice chunk of change, but it was way too much work and haven't done it again. If I had an oven like we have at work? I'd be making money hand over fist! It's about 7 feet tall and holds two14-shelf racks.

This morning our HR person/general factotum happened to be in the bakery when I opened the oven door to put a rack in. She was surprised at the size of it, to say the least. I told her we got it from the witch in Hansel & Gretl ;)

@CinnamonSugar You're not the only one who starts cleaning/sorting/purging and finds a warehouse full of extra envelopes, pens, markers, staples, rubber bands...you name it. It happens to me because it's either been eons since I needed whatever and forgot I had it or forgot where I put it so buy more.

It's a weird weather day here today. It's warm-ish. Was 55F and very foggy when I got up at 4, the fog is gone now and the temp is in the 60s. I can't keep track of what's happening from one day to the next...winter then not winter, spring-ish then not, pouring rain one minute then sunshine the next.

Spring! I want spring. I want flowers💐🌻🌹🌷🌺🌿🍃 and leaves on the trees!

I worked in the front end (store) of a small bakery while in high school. Should have paid closer attention to what they were doing in the back end, but I had no interest back then. There was a huge oven with revolving shelves - sort of like a Ferris Wheel. The baker would open the oven, stop it when a shelf lined up with the door, load or unload the shelf, then move onto the next shelf.

Having a good day at the office, so far.
Went through some kitchen cupboards…..keep pile….give away pile.

It is now 3 weeks since I’ve heard from my foster daughter, who lives only 10 blocks away.
Her excuse of lacking communication skills is making me a bit crusty.
Back in the spring, I had said I wasn’t going to play being the money tree for them anymore…..did that upset her…..beats me.
Think I’m basically going to ditch the idea, that she/they have any kind of concern for me…….tough life…..someone’s got to live it.

I also worked for a short time in the front end of a bakers' shop when was a teen... I did get to work in the back, but only to make sandwiches for the lunchtime rush...

Time now to relax for the evening after a very easy day. Another hour video chat with my friend from yesterday, and before you wonder, yes, he's thought I am a special gal since childhood. Now, he admits to ponder my takes and opinions on multiple topics, as we have had different lifestyles our adult life. He's more naive, even though a therapist, I have had different experiences due to marriages, change of careers, etc. It's a lovely relationship between us.
Then, to the library and a walk in the rain. Hot shower when I got home, dinner, and now....
Tomorrow will be very different.🙃

I bet it was. I love hazelnut drinks. I have Coffee Mate sugar free hazelnut dry creamer. I also used to love Dunkin's hazelnut Coolattas. I never had a cappuccino, mostly because I stayed away from caffeine due to my heart condition.

In the middle of the night, I re-sorted my blankets and a comforter and found away to use the Rubbermaid plastic hamper instead of throwing it away. I also found a way to fit it into my newly organized storage closet. I intended to wash the comforter plus another load but was tired after the sorting and reorganizing so postponed it. I took a long nap this afternoon. My son sat with me this evening while I prepared two pill cases. I prefer doing it while we have conversation rather than doing it alone.

Another day of "house arrest" due to snow. In spite of forecasts earlier in the week that things would improve, it snowed heavily last night and there have been some short snow showers this morning. This had been the first bad winter since 2010. Plenty to do inside, but zero inspiration to do anything. Plenty of indoor bowls and snooker on TV.

Getting annoyed with this laptop as several keyboard keys are getting sticky.

I've just been looking out of a front window, and with the snow covering, I saw the tell-tale paw prints of a cat meandering through my front garden.
Well everyone knows how curious I am, so I then went to a back window to see where my visitor was heading.
The little sod was only emtying his bowels into one of my tubs that contain spring bulbs.
I hammered on the window to scare the blighter off, but he just turned his head, looked at me nonchalantly, then sort of buried his poo and then sauntered off.

Pepper, yeh, pepper is supposed to be good to fend off moggies, where are you, Pepper? 😊
