I think a truck hit me yesterday. Guess not, sure it would be much worse. I'm having difficulty dealing with all these surgeries & 'procedures' chipping away at my life. Sorry, not a happy camper, it's been rough. Today my grandson & son coming to help. Yesterday, my son was so wonderful helping me, wanting to do more, while I just wanted to be alone and miserable. I'm ashamed at my own weakness & unwillingness.

I'm so sorry you are going through all of this Pepper! Don't beat yourself up for how you were feeling. It's not unusual to feel that way when one is not well, even when a loved one is trying to be helpful. I pray your health will improve and your pains will be eased.
 
Took a little walk over in the meadow and the woods to try and Free up my back. Very overcast today but no rain forecast.

Off to the State Fair with the little 'uns. We're going to eat corn dogs, look at prize winning quilts and hog, ride rides, buy things we don't need and, maybe, ride a camel.

What we won't be doing, however, is indulging in the fair's featured beverage.....wait for it.....DILL PICKLE LEMONADE. Yep, lemonade made with dill pickle juice and slices of dill pickle. I'd like to know what the person who invented that was drinking....

Home made root beer for me.
 
Had a fun game of Mario Olympic Winter Games with Daughter. We played Curling on the Nintendo Wii for the first time. Finally, we have a way to get strength back into our arms 🤣🤣🤣.

Then we'd ate lunch. While watching the news about the Turkey-Syria Earthquakes, we've found out on the Breaking News line, that an object the "size of a car" flying at around 40,000 feet over Alaska was shot down, had fallen on ice and was being recovered. Worrisome? Yes, I'd say something's up that may spell trouble with a capital T...

Got to fix things today plus completing the shopping list. Wee bit nerve-wracking but we'll take our time over it. Otherwise, it'll be a quiet day. Fingers-crossed 🤞 lol!

PS RIP to all who've suffered and died during those earthquakes.
 
When I went on my early walk around 6:30 temp was 28, wore the boots because snowed last night,a dusting but some sidewalks had little ice I went to local convient store to buy Sat WSJ
I'm going over to close friends Marcia&Dave's house in about 1/2hr, for weekly visit, have Smithsonian mag, couple articles for them. I expect family dog, Tag{ pharoh hound} will be happy to see me wagging his tail as he always does
The rest of my day read local paper, WSJ take afternoon walk,lately I've been walking around apt complex 2-3 times
 
Doing the grocery thing this morning, picking up mail.
Last of the cross stitch supply will be picked up today…..nothing sold…..gave to friends.
Taking in some extra time outside, seeing the forecast says COLD temps are to return latter part of next week.
Again, yesterday got to 0c for a good part of the day, we’ve had several days of this.
What do I do outside…..taking in the sun, watching, listening to birds…..just enjoying.
 
Taking some quality time for myself this morning before getting ready to see my grandson and his new wife of 5 months. They are coming by to tell me about their belated honeymoon trip to Ireland and the Maldives. They just returned two weeks ago. Then, we are going to dinner at a local restaurant, and sharing more! I've been looking forward to this day for a month!

Today I baked an apple crumble for Sunday lunch tomorrow. Then walked , now I'm reading. I feel lazy so I'm doing very little.

Baked apple crumble! Reminded me of the days my mum used to bake for Sundays. Apple crumble was my favourite with ice cream. She also used to bake individual jam tarts. :)
 
Lazy, lazy day here... rain beating a relaxing rhythm outside, had chai and coffee this AM (not in the same cup =P), prepped veggies for lunch and supper, will do some crocheting...

Youngest son coming over shortly to pick up mail and will probably stay to visit; I really enjoy talking with him, he's very intelligent with a wide range of interests.

Homemade granola will be baked

Also have a Dick Francis mystery to pick up when I feel like it.

I wish y'all a pleasant weekend =)
