DD rang , she said they got snow in the morning where she lives .. (70 miles north of me)... and she was at work and got excited at how heavy it was falling.. by afternoon the rain had come and washed it all away and by the time it was going home time the sun was out and everywhere was dry. She said it was very surreal.. like none of it had ever happened..:D

Not yet. :ROFLMAO: I just needed to use up some crushed pineapple in pineapple juice that I accidentally opened several days ago. Couldn't come up with something better to do with it and didn't want to toss it. Mini muffins don't take up much freezer space and thaw quickly.

They'll be gone before I know it.

That's wild. Sometimes we get an errant summer shower and it's the same deal. An hour after it's over it looks like it never happened.

@Alizerine Sorry for your mishap! Shampooing hair with a cast on the arm is...um...interesting. Rubber gloves help.

It turned into a very nice day. Not really as warm as it has been, but no wind and mostly sunny.

DD and I got the Walmarting done. She and DGD are loading up again to haul another bunch of stuff to DGD's new place. Glad nobody even suggested that I help. Yay. Heaven knows I've done my share of moving and helping others move, so we'll just say that I've served my time!

Aww, I'm sure your grandkids see you as more than just a gift-giver, but it is totally normal they do see grandparents as gift-givers.

I don't understand the expectation of help with shoveling, if your daughter is busy with children she is probably wishing someone would offer to come help her. Even when my daughter was most sensitive to my need for snow shoveling help, she didn't try to come herself, instead she hired from the guys she knew, a young man whose pickup had a snow plow attachment, and he'd come and take a quick pass up and down the driveway.

Do you have a snowblower? Or a neighbor you could hire? Shoveling is awful hard work at our age.
Thanks for the input, HoneyNut.
I don’t expect you to back track posts to get more info on this.
Almost 6 years ago, her and her partner moved here from a town 20 minutes from here.
At that time she labeled us as mother / daughter……of course my heart melted.
That’s when her their needs started……I would hear from them a lot…..always short of money, groceries, gas etc.
I helped them…..neither one was working.
That’s the kind of relationship it was, and continued.
Since I started downsizing last spring…..she started following my listings on Facebook…..heard from her a lot….she says…..if you can’t sell it, she’ll take it.
I have given them so much stuff….not junk….good stuff.
She’s always good at offering help…..but is a no show.
Why the expectation on my part for help with the snow….maybe because felt for them to help them out…..maybe I would like a little help.
Last spring I cut them off on the money hand outs…..she’s 30, he’s 38……time for them to be adults…..seems like she stopped communication to very little since then.😕🙁☹️.

Neighbours here don’t do for each other…..the kind of town it is.
Do I have a snow blower……I did sort of…..I requested the walking snowblower…..my X has a really small tractor with cab, bucket, and snowblower, so he didn’t need the walking one.
The first winter it was here…..didn’t have my shed yet to store it…..he stored it at his place….got my shed…..but he would not bring the blower back.
So that’s the story.

Sorry…..guess I wasn’t quite finished.
Never have expected help with my driveway…..if it’s just a light snow, I do it myself…..if we get a dump…..I get a local business to clear the driveway.
The help just needed sometimes in big dumps…..in the back…..dog paths…..bottom of the deck…..always do the deck myself, because that’s the way into the yard for paths for the guys jobs.

Just for interest…..they never shovel snow at their place…..they just walk and drive over it.

I’m tired now…..too much brain work. 🥴😕🤓😕🥴.

Went to see the "Pirates of Penzance" yesterday. An absolutely fantastic, colourful performance.
Although it was over in time to catch the bus at 5 pm, the bus never arrived. We waited in the freezing depot for another bus, for although there were plenty of busses available, they were electric ones and didn't have the necessary range and we had to wait for a diesel powered bus.
Eventually, we got a rather slick coach - comfy with nice leather seats (which I suspect are to deter vegans ) and we set off. At least the weather was good and the roads were all clear.

Morning all....yes Ichanged my clocks LOL....anyhoo it is 35F here right now, may get to 45 later, and sun just came out yay....
Got a sore left foot for unknown reason, age(?) so it is
wrapped in heat pad...no big plans for the day, just figure out
what to eat and what to watch on the tube....have a good day
if you can......
