I'm up relatively early today, so I guess I'll be able to do all my exercises. I found an audio version of our book club selection, so I can listen to that while I exercise.

Trivia game this afternoon. Talk to my language partner tonight.

The other day, I finally cleaned my bedroom and changed the sheets. So I'll do laundry today, if I have time.



I'm bad at chess, but I thought it was for other reasons (e.g., I'm not competitive). I never thought about the spatial thinking aspect. I'm bad at that too!

Which book is your club reading? (I do audio books too).

The original plan was to read Das Kapital, but for most of us it would be too heavy going.

Freaking wow! I love your book club, @NorthernLight ! Man, you guys don't mess around. To quote @hollydolly for the second time, respect.

Now I kinda wanna read it. The ideal of Communism has always interested me, yet I've never read, The Communist Manifesto. I'd thought it was written, originally for the burgeoning United States, but a quick Google tells me I'm incorrect about that.

Be careful with Advil,,,, it's an NSAID that can really hurt your stomach lining. Make sure you take it with a full meal.

Yes, it's a nonfiction book club. We live in a small town where the main activities are hunting, etc. (Crafts and online poker are popular with indoor types.) But there are a few people who crave something different.

I used to be involved in politics and in academics, where terms like Marxism were thrown around. Now I'll finally learn a bit about what it is.
 
Did a lot of shovelling sNOw today, thanks to our March blizzard.
Everything in the back is done. 🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵……am a tired puppy.
Some good news to report……had a “ SNOW ANGEL “ clear my driveway this afternoon…..who was it…..I don’t know…..someone with a walking snowblower…..wasn’t in the living room this afternoon…..and can’t hear outside noise in the house.

THANK YOU SNOW ANGEL !!!!!!!!!!
 
Well it's 8 minutes into Monday, and the pain in my back is just as bad as it was when I got up.. despite the Painkillers, ..so it looks like I'm going to have to cancel the dentist in the morning because I won't be able to drive. It's so annoying because they gave me a very fast appointment and I might not get that again.. :(
 
Woke up later than normal today..........then I remembered why. Time change of course! I can't understand why a few times during the day I can lay down on my bed to put my feet up on the wedge for awhile I am perfectly comfortable. Have even taken a short nap at times (and I don't usually do naps during the day). At night, I cannot sleep there at all. Back to the recliner.......

Today my new aide is supposed to start! I am hoping she works out. She is an older woman and her son is a grown up so no calling in because he is sick. In fact, he is a NY state police investigator and lives right next door (to her). She looks very able and I discussed with her the things I need. I will see.

I will be doing my morning walk this morning which is laps around my long hallway. It is about 200 feet for one complete lap. We (my friend/neighbor) are up to nine laps now. Took me awhile to get past eight. At least I am moving.

I might have breakfast at the pub on Friday morning... . I've had to cancel my appointment at the dentist this morning as predicted, but I'm fortunate that they got me a new one for Friday morning.. so depending on what they do, I might be able to have Breakfast at the pub after wards.. .
I'm not unhappy about staying home.. I can see it 's very windy out there too.. and the rain is forecast for early afternoon
 
It was raining heavily first thing this morning, but it's eased off now. The rain and above zero temps have helped to clear the snow and the fields are starting to show some green again. Quite windy with strong gusts forecast for later. Mrs. L is hoping that everything will be fine to get back to Tai Chi this evening. Apart from shopping tomorrow, no real plans for this week, it will mostly depend on the weather.

I don't know what Instacart is.. presuming it's a grocery delivery option... but Here in the UK.. if we order shopping to be delivered from any one of our major supermarkets, it costs only the price of the delivery , which is variable depending on the time of day chosen. For example.. £4.95 for a morning slot.. and £2 for an evening slot..
 
I went outside for my early morning walk at 6:30 didn't go far, light snow flurries, temp was 34
This morning at 9am have a dentist appt, A Canopy of Neighbors volunteer driver is giving me a ride Afterwards, I'll walk a block away to local grocery store Price Rite need a couple items. If I have energy I may walk home
No other plans for the day read NYT,my book, After dinner tackle NYT daily crossword puzzle, watch on Food Network 'Spring Baking Championship. I'm not a baker always enjoy watching this show to see what the bakers create
