About a four hour drive. It's a sleepy town - one of our favorite places to take the RV. We also stopped here for a few nights on the way home. It's quite a large, woodsy, rustic park with somewhere around 100 peacocks strutting the 76 acre grounds.
At only an hour from home, it was the perfect opportunity to see how our baby grandson would do with an RV overnight. DS & DDIL brought him to us on Sunday afternoon, then picked him at our house Monday afternoon when we finished our trip. He did quite well, even started a rock and stick collection.
There are a couple of male peacocks in this tree. They're quite accustomed to humans and dogs and freely wander campgrounds as well as the wooded areas.
