What are you doing today 2023

So far, I've had a somewhat weird breakfast of broccoli & "cheese" sauce with canned potatoes (weren't we just talking about these?).

Strange, I know and I would normally have a chicken breast or can of tuna with broccoli & cheese sauce, but we only have, "chunk light" tuna at the moment and my one cooked chicken breast is frozen.

Didn't do much for me in the way of protein, but it was filling and low in calories so I'll have to pick up the protein later today.

Not sure what's in store for the rest of today. Maybe I'll try untangling the mess I've made of my youtube channel (which isn't) or work on my blog (which also isn't). Or maybe I'll color and listen to an audio book... take the dog out for a walk.

Maybe I'll open my door and find a cow staring me in the face. -That actually happened to my husband once. For real, cow right to the face.

@Medusa A friend of mine opened her back door one morning and was greeted by a copperhead! When we lived out West in the desert, a neighbor opened her door one morning to retrieve milk from her milk box. It didn't happen because there was a rattler perched on top.

@jet I thought you were still traveling. Didn't know you were home already.

It's a lovely sunny day. I might play in the dirt. DD wants me to help her straighten and level her mailbox. After that I might be "too tired" to play in the dirt.

As it turned out, I didn't have to work alone this morning. The manager from another store came in to help. Yay.

All the breads, pastries and cookies I ordered on Friday for last night's truck...the truck came, but the warehouse sent absolutely nothing for the bakery. We should have had a pallet of products as big as all outdoors. No idea if it got delivered to another store or forgotten or what happened. Oh, well. Nothing I could or can do about it. We don't get another truck until Tuesday night. That's not helpful. And yanno what? I don't give a rat's rear🐀

I had a list as long as last week of supplies that can only be ordered on Sunday to be delivered on Tuesday. There's been nobody authorized to place the order for two weeks, but the manager from the other store is authorized. Woohoo. She placed the order for me. Let's hope it comes in a more timely manner than the products ordered Friday for last night's truck. If not, it's not helpful. And yanno what? I don't give a rat's rear🐀 about that, either!

And tomorrow I do work alone. >sigh<

I am resting up. With DH gone Mon through Fri all this month doing radiation treatments, I'll be taking care of the garden he planted. The biggest one so far.
Also will be bringing in and processing the veggies.
Not complaining. It will be fine but busy and I don't want him worried about that while he's in treatment.
I went with him last week. He was able to get in a routine. The treatment itself takes five minutes but there are bathroom concerns that have to be addressed, or coordinated with the treatment. TMI?
He can have breakfast at the hotel, get ready, be shuttled over to the hospital, take treatment, shuttle back, lunch, then rest. We were binge watching 'The Dome' on plex There are several good restaurants in the area with reasonable prices. The hospital cafeteria has a good variety also and is convenient.
So, I think the five weeks will go by faster than he thinks. He will come home on weekends and have homemade meals and a refresh.
It will all be ok. 🙂

I grew up in Los Angeles and remember, when hiking, we had to watch for rattlesnakes. -That must have been quite a shock first thing in the morning! Did she slam the door in it's face? What else to do?

My husband worked in the grocery biz (seafood) for 15 years so I can vicariously relate to your bakery order delivery mishap.

@Medusa The neighbor called campus police (we lived in married student housing). They came over and shot it. Made quite a mess, but at least she was able to get the milk.

Helped DD with the mailbox problem. It's hot out there, and I might already be tired of summer.

Time for a nap.

It was cloudy when I went on my early morning walk at 6:30 to buy local paper, temp was 48
My long walk of the day was strolling to my church for our 10:30 service, was warmer when the service was over at 11:30, still cloudy temp was near 70
I'm going back to church in about 1hr with my friend, Marcia. Our choir w orchestra is giving a performance of Anglican choral favorites e.g Vaughan Williams, Elgar, Walton Its a fund raiser for our choir ticket is $25. In July they will be performing in Iceland, spend week in England A small way to help support them, they are very talented

Well this afternoon the sun came out.. and it looks like this might be the only rain free day all week.. so I went out and got the garden tidied up a bit. Cut back a lot of plants and tree branches. Got the garden chair cushions hung to dry that got soaked yesterday in the rain... and put them away in the shed to stay until we get more settled weather..

Baked some home made KFC enough for 2 days...

I have 2 snap lid boxes which live on the top of cupboards on one side of my kitchen. They contains refills of things like packs of Washing up sponges, foil, freezer bags , disinfectant wipes etc.. I got up there and brought them down, and discovered after probably 2 years I have used enough that I was able to dispense everything into one box, so I got the empty box washed and taken up to the barn to use as storage for something else.

All just small chores today, but really needed a dry day to do them..

Swear to Goblins, for a half a second I thought you meant they'd milked the snake. 🤣

A little sad that they had to shoot it.

Nice nap. :)

I was on the phone quite a bit today:
~Daily morning call from BFF
~Tried to coordinate the contact lists from 2016 & 2017 with my cousin in PR so we can have one updated list. We were both having technical issues. :( I would have liked to take care of it yesterday while I was doing it but she was in the states, packing for her trip home and did not have access to her list.Lots of music stuff:

~Via phone and Dropbox, I reviewed the draft of my latest live action music video with my friend, it's producer. Then rewatched it several times to determine where the pictures of three men who are dear to me could be inserted. They each love the song so much and I thought it would be nice to include them in the video. I then searched for and found the photos I think will work well.

~Worked on the song I'm composing for my late DIL.
Several texts between me and the newly commissioned sax player for one of my songs (we had to let the other one go). He happens to be one of the three who are dear. We had to send him an additional track with rhythm only.

~Started going through the documents I have in iDrive (digital, cloud storage). They are eliminating the free service. I started the process of downloading documents I want to store elsewhere and deleting them from iDrive before they close my account in 3 weeks. I have 3 external hard drives. I will store them on two of those (one as an additional back up).

Welp, it is 89 deg here, wowza.....early for that kind of temp ....
I cannot take this kind of heat so I stay in unfortunately...but
good news, my rash is down probably 75 percent, and the
itch/pain is almost entirely gone...sure feeling a bunch better
than I did last week......:)
I am catching up a bit, on some of this thread, and am glad to notice this update on improvement for you!

After Young & Restless must go to the bank for dollar bills to pay AccessARide with. Then, I might do some shopping, and unfortunately must go to CVS for what I need. Hate giving them money, but they are the only place near me to buy this stuff.

My beloved Buffy is doing fine so far. We spend most of the day together. We love being together.
😚😻
