Housebound people who can't get to the bank and don't use the internet. I know several and they still write cheques. I can't remember the last time I used a cheque though.

Identity theft ?.. in the same way cheques can.. rarely happens unless you start being careless .. overspending ?.. how is it different to writing a cheque ?

This morning I drove for 4 hours to the east coast and spent the photographing Ganets, Puffins and other seabudgies at Bempton Cliffs near Bridlington. Weather was gorgeous. I’m spending tonight in a small guesthouse in Bridlington and will spend tomorrow in York - including a good stint photographing trains I may get a hotel for tomorrow night half way home - maybe in Harrogate. No plans for Saturday yet - I may just wing it

Well, it's CAT one, owners zero.... Sylvester was supposed to go to the vet today for rabies shot...
Came home a little after 1:30, let cat in and fed him. Appt was at 3:30. As best I know, neither I nor middle son let cat out but when it's time to pack him in the carrier, can he be found??? A big fat NO.
Yes, I looked everywhere (even in the dryer--I kid you not). There must be some kind of "vet appt" radar cats have. It will be interesting to see from whence he emerges later.

It’s funny how they know things. I think they read our body language or something.
My puppies get all wound up before I take them to vet. I do get nervous before hand and I think they sense that.
They also know the word “bath” and go hide

Update on feline-non-grata…. I still don’t know where he was hiding but he emerged after about an hour. The vet graciously allowed us to bring him on in so all his stalling tactics are for nought@CinnamonSugar That’s so funny… but I know it must be frustrating.

At one time, between my mom and I, we had about 10 cats. Getting them to the vet for their yearly visit was a challenge. We had to make several trips. When the cats heard the squeak of the carrier door, they'd miraculously disappear.

Rebuilding a 50yr old compressor I picked up recently. Should finish it up today after having gone through the motor and the pump. I love these old units, they are so quiet compared to the new stuff, and seem to run forever.

Dogs are the same. The vets are always very gentle and kind with the dogs... but you know what.. put the dogs in the car, even take detours so they don't know the roads.. and still when we get near the Vets, the dogs start wailing and refusing to get out of the car. Yanno that thin layer of fabric on the bottom of the box springs for your bed? I had a cat that tore a small hole in it and used it for her hidey hole.

On my early morning walk around 6:30 walked to buy local paper, temp was 46. When I came back watered plants/ flowers in our communnity garden
This morning I walked a couple blocks to local grocery store needed couple items
This afternoon after lunch a brief nap went outside in the garden with other residents for about 1hr 1/2 temp was 60,a beautiful but cool day

Well this is interesting. That expensive smaller mobile I made an offer on earlier this year is back on the market. She has it listed for 9 grand less than what she countered me on but it's more than my offer. I thought this "needs to move" need may have been resolved as she took it off the market. I have zero interest in the place anymore and it's really out of my budget but I'm still going to watch it.
