Ive been busy this morning , I bathed my dog , she just loves getting in and have the shower on , with the start of summer comes the Flea and Tick season , so i bathed her in that Flea and Tick shampoo , Ive never had a problem with them , so maybe the shampoo I use works .
Have a nice day .

Morning breakfast clubbers!!!, I woke at 4am out of an
angry dream!!!! dunno for sure what caused that...but makes
for a long day...it is 60F here, sunny, no rain today...I guess
I will start my holiday early by making bacon n eggs LOL..then
see what trouble I get into.....thinking about getting a laptop and tv all at once!!! Good lordy, wonder if my old brain cells
could handle all of the new instructions on how to operate!!!!
Later gaters.....

Good Morning, my friends! Today I have an appointment with my hairdresser. Walking to it on my own since it is not far and hopefully stays a nice day. Rain or shine, I will get to it. Planning on doing my morning walk around the hallway with my friend/neighbor in a bit.

out for breakfast,a full english, caramel latte,,then shopping grrrrrr,,,,and its another hottie out there
I've heard this term before but didn't really know what it meant. Is this about right?
Full English breakfast in pan with fried eggs, sausages, bacon, beans, toasts and coffee on dark stone background

As is typical of our weather at this time of year, the two week forecast shows highs will range narrowly: 68°-78°F, with lows even narrower 54°-58° (20-26°C and 12°-14°C). Very little chance of rain, but partly cloudy most days with overcast mornings due to ocean fog rolling in. OJ Simpson made So Cal's "June gloom" somewhat famous during his trial testimony.

I quite like this time of year. It's pleasant and can easily be comfortable with the right clothing. No need to turn on heat or AC for the past few weeks and it looks like it will stay that way for a while longer.

Baby comes today but only for a few hours. I have some business ordering to do and hope to time it so the deliveries come when he's not here. One of Murphy's Laws, I swear: UPS deliveries inevitably occur during baby's nap time when you're watching a light sleeper. :cautious::rolleyes:

With the ongoing debt ceiling drama, I'm glad to still have an income aside from SS.

After the little guy goes home, I'll make 16 pizza doughs and put them in the garage refrigerator for a slow rise. They'll be ready to bake Sun or Mon. My stash of pizza and calzones is gone, and expect DD's family is in a similar situation.

A day late .. dropped off daughter at a doctor's appt., then, took her out for lunch. Other than the dreadful
bumper-to-bumper on the highway home, it was a good day!

Today, just chilling and doing laundry/housework. My sister gave me 3 shopping bags full of books, so - I
have to finish reading my library books before I get into those!

Enjoy your Friday, peeps!

I did it……just turned on the AC…..it’s working. 😊.
Getting the house cooled down before I leave at 12:00……since I’m going to be out off town, I’ll turn the AC off…..i know, I’m a worry wort.

Good morning all! I'm sitting here, just got my coffee, hoping to get my eyes open.

Yesterday, Dio suggested we go out for dinner. I had a gift certificate from my b-day, and I think he was board!

We rarely ever go out for dinner (usually we go for breakfast), and it was sooooo good! I had 2 pieces of catfish on a toasted hard roll, with sweet potato fries!

Speaking of Dio, he seems to be doing much better. No more bleeding except when he is just out of the shower, and even that isn't much. Everything is finally scabbing over and healing.

He is still taking it easy and not doing much activity wise, but at least he can go for walks (even roller skate) as long as he doesn't exert himself or get sweaty. He is about a week behind in his healing process, so in a few more days, he should be back to his normal activity levels. Thank you, again, for all of the good wishes everyone has sent! 💗

Today, I'm hoping to do a little mending...go through the chest freezer for inventory, and do lots 'n lots of reading!

Tomorrow will be our one and only day at the rink, this week. We are enjoying a nice break after all of those school parties!

Yesterday, I was "in a mood". Actually, I was in several moods.... all of them negative! So I didn't read any post, and like usual, I'm behind on what everyone is up to. I hope all is well with everyone! Enjoy your day!

Mac & I have had 2 walks.
He's had a nap, & I haven't. :(

I've made a bowl of potato salad for lunch.
Found some potatoes with sprouts on them,, so cleared a place for them in last year's tomato patch.

Lots of weeds to pull from that patch ,,made me thinking about getting 2 or 3 tomato plants.

Hubby is busy mowing some lawns ,, so I have a short break before finishing making lunch.

Good to know. It did seem like a lot of food. Americans favor hash brown potatoes over baked beans for breakfast, but this is otherwise quite similar to large restaurant breakfasts on this side of the Atlantic.
We get hash brown too for breakfast..I hate them.. I don't like baked beans for breakfast either.. or cooked tomatoes... and that picture is missing Black pudding...

.. but a real cooked breakfast is a Scottish breakfast which comprises of, Eggs , Ayrshire Bacon, Black pudding, fruit pudding, haggis, white pudding, sqaure sausage ( Lorne ) links sausage ..potato scones

It's almost 5pm...gloriously hot afternoon.. too hot for me now .... I drove to the nearest major town, got the shopping at Costco.. ( amazing what holidays do, a typical Friday would see Costco mobbed).. which was pretty empty so I got through quickly.. and even got a Hot dog and a drink... got the car topped up with fuel.. £1.35 per litre currently.. which is the lowest for well over a year...

Then to the Car wash.. got that done.. and drove home through the country roads for a change instead of the motorway..

Got home put everything away ( I still have to portion up some stuff and freeze it ).. but before I even had a sit down..I went out and trimmed some of the sprigs of hedging which had grown longer than the rest of the hedge , which kinda annoyed my OCD eye as I walked up the drive ..even hotter in my gardens..so I had to get another cold drink... sitting down now for a few minutes before I go and portion up the food for the freezer..

Not at all a worry wart. I always turn the AC off when I'll be gone for more than a few hours. Turn the heat down to 50 when I'm out of town during winter.

Why pay to heat or cool a house when you're not going to be there?

The strings on the blinds we had repaired yesterday came loose so that means another trip across town and back for another repair. Stopped at two stores to buy asparagus. One didn’t have any left. The season is nearly over. That’s a depressing thought.

Will play bridge sometime today. That affects when we’ll go walking.

Well I got all the food portioned and bagged, and into the relevant freezers. Then swept up the rear garden paths of the blossom and leaves.. The holly tree is a nightmare for shedding. It shed when it's windy, it sheds in the winter, and it loses tons of leaves when it's hot and dry, so I'm forever sweeping up..

Then I poured boiling water and rock salt onto some stubborn weeds growing through the cracks in one path...

Then I made dinner.. Prawns in tempura batter with Taramasalata and freshly baked bread roll... watched my favourite quiz show on TV... which I always record so I can whizz through the adverts..

The county Fair is on this weekend.. and only tomorrow is guaranteed to be hot and sunny.. can't make up my mind whether to go. It's going to be very crowded..potentially....it's about a 40 min drive from here..
