What are you doing today 2023

That would be a bit strange to do a selfie video while I'm dancing. I'm not that good of a multi-tasker.
Well, SF doesn't accept homemade videos anyway (unless they are posted on the platforms mentioned in their video link)...so my friend, you are off the hook. :D I hope you and your neighbor dance up a storm and just have a great time. πŸ’ƒπŸ•Ί

Well maybe not quite like this couple. :ROFLMAO:

At 5:30 am will put on Catholic Mass which gets me ready for Joel Osteen at 6 am. Sundays I torture myself watching the news.

Son home from lovely family vacation; has the next week off; he/me/grandson will go cat hunting. I promised myself I'd clean the place up first but so far have not. Big surprise!

Ha ha. I did go last night, and the band totally rocked the house. It was a blast and I danced my butt off. My neighbor had to leave a little early because she had to be on the road very early, but I stayed and danced with others, and we never left the dance floor; just waited for the next song and picked up right where we left off. It was a 5 star night.

I'm still here even after a really lacey night. I hate waking up every couple of hours and don't feel one bit rested. Oh, well.

Haven't heard a peep out of DD yet. Hope she was able to sleep because yesterday she was feeling worse than I did.

I was up at daybreak and while still feeling able to do it, went out and watered my garden and the pots on DD's patio.

Then I actually fried and egg and made a piece of toast and ate it. I ate food.

Went out shopping... 😭So sad, there's an Administration Sale on at our local Wilko... We got few items, round bamboo hairbrush, nail files pack, extra face pliers for straggly hairs.

Next Poundland, funky wave jar types 6oz glasses, set of four, so cute & a double headed USB Charger, plus new fly swatter.

HomeBargains, found New Pasta Spoon, so now set completed and a Blu-ray DVD of GI Joe film lol. Oh and our supply of vitamins and minerals supplements and a treat find, two for one Aroma Therapy shower gel, Neroli and Ginger. YES!

Last Lidl for remaining bits of groceries.

Now home, had lunch with leftover of deli meats. Roast Beef, Gamon and Chicken, Cheese slice, lettuce plus a tomato with dash of salt and garlic mayo.

Dinner, found a wee leg of lamb roast with mashed potatoes, vegetables mix and cheese sauce. Brownie cake for dessert, this time got wee marshmallows to melt on top of brownies with a melted chocolate bar drizzle on top. Divine!

Trying out special bottle of Toffee Apple Cider, brand name Brothers? Hoping it'll be nice with dinner lol.

Completed dismantling of furniture for BHF pick up tomorrow. Hoovering later on and dishes. With CoffeeBean between us on sofa, fast asleep since his girls are home, watching series "Only Murders in the Building" with Steve Martin, Martin Short and Selena Gomez.

At sunrise I took my dogs for a walk. The so-called "Inland Empire" (Ontario, San Bernardino, Riverside, Corona, Norco, etc.) are surrounded by mountains: (a) San Gabriel Mountains 10,000 ft; (b) Los Angeles is 60 miles in that direction; (c) Santa Ana Mountains <6,000 ft; (c) Mt. San Jacinto <11,000 ft; (e) San Bernardino Mountains 11,500 ft. I went so early because today it will be again >100 degrees.

My Boxers on the 1st picture left to right: Ross from the Los Angeles Boxer Rescue 7 yo 95 lbs; Otto from the Riverside Animal Shelter 5 yo 85 lbs; and Heidi from the Moreno Valley Animal Shelter 3 yo 65 lbs. Being 87 years old they are, aside from my family, my 24/7 companions and protection. Every morning and every evening I am walking with them for one hour. When we are walking abreast, people get out of our way.

Heidi had been mistreated as a stray. I had her now for 1 1/2 years, but she is still afraid of people and especially of children although she is slowly losing her paranoia. Ross likes to jump up on people and washes their faces, but not everyone appreciates it. Otto is my watchdog. After one year, he is still barking when he hears my wife's car, or when she comes into my room.

I found my last few dogs on SoCal's 24Petconnect.com No more cats because we lost too many to coyotes.

I'm so glad you had so much fun Bob. I've been known to stay on the dance floor all night too! I literally wore my young cousin out who was dancing with me at the family reunion. He looked 18 but is actually 30. Dancing is good for the soul. I do wish I could have been a fly on the wall so I could see you though. :D

@hollydolly I just happened to see that you posted a link about the downside of nut milk. I only saw it because I was scrolling this thread on my tablet, on which I do not like typing replies (or anything else, unless absolutely necessary). Anyway, now I can't find the post. Is there any reason you didn't hit "reply" or tag me using the @sign?

Yes, I read something a while back about almond milk not being a good choice and thought I'll be damned if I change my milk again! Every time you turn around, something new is bad for ya. I've seen: sparkling water, margarine, pasta sauce in cans and plastic jars, tomato products in general if you're arthritic (hasn't bothered mine), eggs, chocolate, coffee, butter, kale (in large quantities) and any produce on the Dirty Dozen list. Where does it end?!

Now they have oat milk. I heard it was good but I doubt I'll try it anytime soon. As with any other new fad, the price is higher than I'm willing to spend.
I've been drinking almond milk for a few years now. It does not make good gravy. (n)
I started to notice that it seemed kind of watery, where as before it didn't bother me, so I tried cashew milk.
I like that as an alternative.

Right now I've been enjoying chocolate almond milk, it seems to have a little thicker consistency to me that I prefer. And, it adds a nice flavor to my smoothies.

I know that lots of people are dairy intolerant. Thankfully, I'm not, but having tried all these milk before, I firmly stand by Coconut Milk. It's amazing in coffee.

I make Coconut Cream Pies in Winter time with Coconut Cream and dessicated coconut.

There's a new recipe for Chicken breasts found with Risotto that uses Coconut Milk and broccoli florets, delicious.

Summer days, I always keep Coconut Water cartons in fridge for refreshments and guaranteed, I lose weight every summer!

Oh, everyone had such a great time. Once you get a lot of energy on the dance floor, it kinda takes on a life of it's own. There is a reason why everyone is smiling when they're dancing, because it's such great fun to let yourself become one with the music. I even slow danced with one gal I'd never met before, and probably will never see again, but it was pretty cool (She was a great dancer). Anyway, good times.

I've never tried the coconut milk, not a big fan of coconut milk or water.
But, I do love me some fresh coconut or shredded sweet coconut to top my chocolate pudding.

I know the coconut water is supposed to be really good for you. :)

Sounds like a busy day or is this a normal one? I would be ready for bed, early. But, I normally am up by late 4 a.m.

Out for lunch today to the pub with my oldest friend....

Coconut Cream Pie is my favorite, but it must take some skill to make because I rarely see it on the dessert menu.

I’m happy you may be feeling better today…….but…..don’t forget about the β€œ ICE CREAM β€œ πŸ¨πŸ¦πŸ¨πŸ¦πŸ¨πŸ¦πŸ¨πŸ¦πŸ¨πŸ¦πŸ¨πŸ¨πŸ¨πŸ¦πŸ¨πŸ¦πŸ¨πŸ¦πŸ¨πŸ¦πŸ¨πŸ¦πŸ¨πŸ¦πŸ¨πŸ¦πŸ¨πŸ¦πŸ¨πŸ¦πŸ¨πŸ•ŠπŸ¨πŸ¦πŸ¨πŸ¦πŸ¨πŸ¦πŸ¨πŸ¦πŸ¨πŸ¦πŸ¨πŸ¦πŸ¨πŸ¦πŸ¨πŸ¦πŸ¨πŸ¦πŸ¨πŸ¨πŸ¦πŸ¨πŸ¦πŸ¨πŸ¦.

OMG! @hollydolly It looks delicious, but how can anybody eat so much food all at the same time? A baked potato is a whole meal for me!

Wait. Back in the day when I was giant sized, my colleagues and I would step across the road from the office to our fave Mexican restaurant for lunch. I'd order my fave meal (chile con queso steak with rice and black beans), polish it off and order again. Dessert of sopapillas was always brought to the table in a basket...two per person and there were four of us...everybody was full so I'd fill them with honey and eat them. Waste not want not. Hm. Also "waist" not...

200+ lbs later...I was long overdue for some serious dieting

Staying in today while daughter & her dad are at the Classic Car Show. I couldn't take all
the walking around. It's outdoors, and not too hot today, which is a plus.

Later, the 3 of us will be going out for dinner.
