It's not even 6. I wanna go to bed, but it's too early.

I don't wanna go to work tomorrow, but if I don't, I don't get to bake stuff.

TL has a day off so it's not like I have to deal with her.

Woohoo! It's finally bedtime, it's dark and my garden solar lights are blinking. Yay.
show us a photo let's see if they're the same as mine. I have loads of solar flowers... and lights.. but the little watering can is just lovely to see at night...much better than I thought it would be when I bought it.. this is a stock photo but this is the one I have in the garden

c'mon you don't seriously expect us to believe folding underwear and socks is a chore...
@Georgiagranny, I use container boxes for storage so just toss delicates in them. For ages I sorted all my black socks looking for the exact match. Then I realized they all look basically the same and now just lay them on top of each other. No one has mentioned that I’m not wearing the same socks. One of the reasons I hate cold weather is that I have to wear socks.

My husband always buys black socks.. simply because he didn't want the chore of pairing them..

Another drive-by post this morning. I'm taking my Mom for a very early doctor's appointment.

Afterwards I'm going to her house to do whatever she needs me to do. Oh, and to eat crab salad....she told me that she has crab salad!!!! I don't want to disappoint her and not have some!

Anyway, I have no idea if I'll ever get back online today. Right now, the coffee is ready. Then I'll have a quick breakfast and be out the door!!

Enjoy your day!

Took a ride in the nearby forest yesterday, and I went farther than I normally do, and noticed that CalFire has cut up a lot of oak rounds and left them by the side of the road. Well, I don't need any more firewood, but come late winter, others in the neighborhood always seem to run out, so I will get to play Santa if I just go load up the wood and keep it under tarp for when that happens. They are large rounds and need to be split, but I'm up for it. So that's where I'll be today.
I figure it's never going to be a better world unless we all do something to make it that way, so someone's gonna get firewood for Christmas 🔥.

Its a grey dull windy day.....I'm waiting in for a delivery... tomorrow I'm out early in the morning to get to my hair appointment.. still haven't decided how much I'll have cut off.. thinking maybe 6 inches.. , Not going to have it short.. but it needs to be much thicker looking.. currently it's so rats taily on the ends..

Probably go to the pub for lunch afterwards..

Just bought a new Petrol cannister.. holds 25 litres.. Petrol has risen again so high that soon there's bound to be a shortage.. so I'm gonna store some in the out buildings in case..

Today I am almost over nasty eye jab on Monday.
Assistant Doc did it and again she did not give enough time for anaesthetic jab to work.
Ah well, thankful for them as they do help keep the vision in focus.
Balcony horror is almost over. Beautiful new concrete floor . Just waiting for railings to be installed.
We are having a hot spell of weather and I may yet get a chance to sit outside.
Off now:cool:

Actually...this happened yesterday. Went with a friend to lunch and a farm market in another town. Good day. Driving home, I hit a curb with my car. Took out one of my front tires. we are both fine. Tire, not so much. Geting a new tire Friday.

That happened to us, when turning out of a plaza. O/H had to replace the flat with the spare, in the pouring rain.

Glad you are okay.

My watering can is bronze. Otherwise, it's just like that.

Practicing coming in and out front door with packages and not having a kitten escape! Luckily, they are still too nervous to approach door. Gidget's so hard to see, so tiny and dark. I'll calm down eventually I suppose.

I can see how it is nerve wracking when there is a new baby/babies in the house. Worry about them getting under or behind something, not being able to locate them. Once they have settled in things will not be causing anxiety. You will learn their personalities, discover places they like to go for quiet time.

They will be grown up before you know it, just like human babies. Didn't it seem like that with your son and now your grandson.

I just did a little walmart run for some basics. Of course when I went out to start the car it was dead. I left the lights on last time I was out. Lucky to have that handy dandy little jump start, kicked right off. I had to jump it again at the store.

We are having a little storm tonight, maybe some hail. So I put the car in the garage, left the door up and am running it awhile to recharge it.

Anyway, I got some Walmart diet cola, some dog food. Those two things are always needed for survival in our house. The cola for me, dog food for the pups.

Got some bread, english muffins, eggs. A dozen eggs, onions, bell peppers, carrots, mushrooms and half n half. Needed most of it for things I want to use in recipes for the next couple of weeks. Needed no meat, the freezer is full.

What is the deal with cottage cheese. Hated it as a child and most of my adult life. Now, all the sudden, I am buying it every week. LOL

Since I fell asleep last night before I could do it, I loaded the dishwasher but didn't have time to run it before I headed out to the park. I took the train to Hoboken and wound up doing something I didn't expect. I've been curious about where the statue below actually is. The first time I saw it a few months ago, I thought I was hallucinating as I approached the water, because I hadn't seen it there before. It looked like it might be too far away to walk to, plus I didn't know if there was a way to get to it. Today I noticed that NYC looked a little hazy (due to the Canada fires according to the news).

Today my curiosity got the best of me and I found out when I saw people walking and riding their bikes coming from that direction. I walked through a whole new area of Hoboken I'd never been to before. I really like it because it reminded me of being at a shore town and I got to see Hoboken from another angle. One of the apartments actually has a "beach" on its property.

There were benches nestled between bushes, out of the sun and even loungers and tables with chairs where I could have eaten my lunch. I walked nearly 3 miles, for 1 hour and 19 minutes and exceeded my 6,000 step goal by 1,403 steps. I will walk that area again the next time I go to Hoboken I played WWF on the train, ran the dishwasher when I got home and after that stopped, I fell asleep for several hours. More pictures from today in the next reply.
