seeing a bear would be enough to make me wet myself and never wanna leave the house again.
Well, they have to live somewhere! LOL I just happen to live in their area, too.

I'm not afraid of that, as long as the situation is right. He was actually less of a danger to us than having a deer run out.

He was beautiful, and I'm happy to have had the opportunity to see him!

Had an interesting morning so far... took my car in first thing to the local tire place (headed out early next week for trip to the Ozarks, so wanted to make sure tires were up to the job) and met an interesting lady (another customer)

Kind of humorous the way it happened. You know, I'm just a shy person, don't know how to start a conversation with strangers; I was thinking I'd like to speak to this lady when the man from the service desk came up and started telling her her tires were fine, she just needed them rotated. She was looking at him like he had mushrooms growing out of his head; she said, "I've already paid for 4 new tires..." I realized he was holding *my* key fob, so I said, "That's my car you are talking about..."

After he left, we easily got into conversation.... interesting lady. We shared travel stories, work history, and faith. I promised her I'd pray for her and her family and she wished me a safe trip. Nice to meet someone new and have a connection

Oh, and there was no charge for rotating the tires since I bought them at that shop =)

Had to wash all the backroad dust off my work truck, so cue'd up my oldies playlist on the big speakers, and had Jackie Wilson takin' me higher, Dion telling me about lovers who wander, a little Brenda Lee wanting to be wanted, and Elvis doin' the Jailhouse Rock, among others.
Anyway, got it all clean and dried, now I gotta jump in the shower, and I'm takin' myself out to lunch. Exercise is later.

My oldest grandson came for a visit. It was time for him to file his taxes (he requested an extension). My computer was acting up....real slow, constant "beachball of death" spinning as we tried to do each action. He even got disgusted with it, so after he finished his taxes, we discussed ways to remedy the problem ranging from trying to downgrade from the "upgrade" that has been causing problems to him building me a new computer. The last option means I'd have a PC instead of a Mac and I'm not sure I want to do that.

I showed him a "new" math puzzle I started doing last week and he did one. He's also a WWF whiz. Then we watched several videos, including two about kittens (one is one of the cutest things I've ever seen...I'll be posting about that in Pets) and one half of Brian Culbertson's Las Vegas concert (FAB-U - LOUS!). My grandson absolutely loved it, so I'm sure he'll be watching the first half. I let him hear a couple of my songs that he hadn't heard and he loved them too. :D He asked me to send him three to use as ring tones. I didn't get much else done.

Went to see the "Bootleg Beatles" at the Music Hall in Aberdeen. A BIG disappointment.
For those who don't know them, they are a Beatles 'tribute band' who have been going for a lot longer than the Beatles ever did.

I first saw them many years ago, and thought that they were excellent and authentic sounding due to contemporary amplifiers and instruments.
With a number of personnel changes etc.. that authenticity had gone and the show was too much of a "hey all you geriatrics (the average age must have been near 70) get up and clap and shout and scream and pretend you're 13 again."

There were a few redeeming features such as "Paul's" rendition of "Yesterday" and "Let it be", but the real stars were the 6 backing musicians (brass, string and keyboard). Mrs. L enjoyed the music, but not all the 'ballyhoo'.

Well, you can't win them all.

It's just after 9.30am..I'm having a cuppa tea, then I'll get ready to leave to go to my hospital appointment in the next county...

The appointment isn't until 2pm... but I want to get some shopping done before the appointment, because leaving it until after will have me stuck in the school and rush hour traffic coming home...

Semi sunny.. currently 50 deg F

Still have to work on releasing the air trapped in the pipes after turning off water for plumbing handywork. Might have to bleed radiators too. Will see!

Did morning routine, fed CoffeeBean and did first batch of dishes. Enjoying glass of orange juice, catching up on saved videos from last night. Next getting dressed and going over grocery list, then off in frosty fog to do shopping.

Making final changes to kitty's food, the samples we tried were...

1) nuh huh, don't like that Mum (Coshida from Lidl)
2) not bad but gave me the runs (Cat food brand at Aldi)
3) oh Mum can I have more please? That was good 💯 (Whiskas from HomeBargains)

Number three's the winner. Whiskas from HomeBargains. Also the best prices for a full two months supply in carton of 80, Surf and Turf. Granted he's not fond of beef. However, chicken, duck, poultry in general, he's happy as well as tuna, cod, whitefish and salmon. Perfect balance.

Changed litter about three months ago, to a pine scented wood pellets from TheRange store which replaces our old HomeBase. The smells are amazing. Covers number twos smell with natural pine scent. One bag last about 6 months. You sometimes get a special, 2 bags for £18, priceless bargain and CoffeeBean just loves it.

Better get ready now, later!

UPDATE: Had fresh croissants from Lidl plus cold ready-to-eat roasted chicken thighs with honey and a kicker coleslaw. Dinner, spaghetti-on-the-thumb with buttered bread slices. The chicken was lovely after spending a minute in the microwave. The spag was cheesy, as usual.

Got a new bag of litter pine scented from HomeBargains (same size at The Range) for much cheaper at just £5.49 and CoffeeBean likes it. Also, he's a happy boy, enjoying two servings of Whiskas. He's fallen asleep on sofa.

Got a bargain fall/autumn painting from charity shop. Just missing a summer landscape to complete our stairs decorating.

Relaxing after the day's event, watching a Hallmark film (Winter Castle), enjoying a cup of tea. Cosy temps indoors of 19C. Oops had to get new pair of gloves, my bony hands were too chilly 😂!

I've an early appointment at the eye doctor's this morning. I won't actually see the doctor, but I'm having a "field of vision" test.

Happy Coosday!

Tai chi this morning. A really good class with some adjustments to be made and a few new movements to add to the list! We worked on the 37 Step Cheng Man Ching Form and the first Shabashi Qigong set. Means nothing to most I know but hey ho :D

Some shopping to be done this afternoon then I may nip out to see if the high tide brings any nice seabirds within range of my camera.

Hope all goes well, HD. 🤗

Having the little guy here today. If he's in the right mood we'll hit Costco and do a quick drop-off pick-up at the library. If not, we'll stay close to home.

It'll be quite warm over the next few days (typical for October) before settling down next week. Fortunately, no high winds in the forecast. Heat and winds (Santa Ana conditions) are the devilish mix that set the scene for California wildfires.
