AFLady71,,,
I bough Mac a doggie coat that looks like a 'bomber jacket'.

Hubby & I were disappointed that it didn't fit around Mac's chest!
I'll be taking it back.
That's aggravating when they don't fit or get the measurements right online. Xiomara has a long brisket/chest that makes it tricky to find coats, too.

Feeling very weak and shaky. BP low, BG low. Am I fading away? Will make reservations with AccessARide for tomorrow, but wonder if I can do it; pickup & watch grandson I mean. If I still feel this way by 3 pm I'll have to make sure grandson covered by other grandparents.

Have Zoom appt. in a few minutes with therapist. Not in mood, but I'll do it anyway. Maybe she can offer advice.

Truthfully, what I am physically feeling is scary.

On my early walk at 6:15, temp was 48 cloudy as I went to buy today's NYT
I just got back from taking the bus went to Kohl's this morning, was looking for some turtlenecks, bought a couple mock ones
They had Xmas stuff out already every other song was a Christmas one geez just a tad too early I left as soon as possible

Hope this passes quickly, Pepper. Very scary, indeed. Hope your therapist points you in a good direction.

If you continue to feel this way @Pepper .. perhaps you should go to Emergency?

I'm home , it's 4.30pm....it's still gloriously sunny, but there's a very strong wind. Everywhere I went there was carpets of Golden leaves getting blown everywhere ..we're lucky here in the south, apparently there's a horrible storm going on in the North of England and Scotland...

I didn't manage to get to do everything I wanted to do before seeing my consultant..but I did stop off at the very expensive garden centre.. and their beautiful clothes shop. ..and I bought a pure wool knee length cardigan in 2 shades of blue , and a grey /blue crossbody bag... not cheap, but they're beautiful quality .. then when I got to the town where the hospital is I still had 3 hours in hand. I did some grocery shopping, couldn't get chicken or fish because it was going to be sitting in the car for more than 3 hours.. despite it being in the chill bag.. I wouldn't trust it..

I wanted to get my nails done but there was such a big queue, I didn't wait.. so in the end I had a lot of time to kill..

I went into the town centre, and wandered around the stores.. got myself 2 new pairs of leather ankle boots.. different styles.... also got a few other things...and then struggled to walk back to the car park because the bags were so heavy and big..

Got to the hospital 15 minutes before my appointment.. and couldn't park, the whole place was packed. I had to risk a fine and park in the Staff only car park.. fortunately I didn't get a fine, but annoyingly.. soon after I sat down in the waiting room they announced that the consultants were all overbooked and we'd be waiting an hour past our appointment times.. good grief.. that's every time I go now..

Filled up the car with petrol , and also filled my new 10 litre petrol can just in case we start seeing fuel shortages again due to recent events..

I know this is long folks., sorry.... but one more thing..there was a message on the answerphone from the Doctors' surgery cancelling my shingles vaccine, she mumbled something about not being old enough for it.. but that I could have the Pneumonia vaccination instead if I called the surgery back .. so I did, and the person who answered had no knowledge of any of this... so she's gone to find out what's occurring, and supposed to be calling me back ...

It's a nice, sunny day but darned cold.

I'm not having a good day again because I haven't been able to evict somebody else's problems from my head where they're living rent free. Tired of this invasion of my privacy and peace of mind.

I left at 11 this morning. Guess who was keeping to her own schedule again? LOL Sir wasn't best pleased.

I saw the same thing in my local mall yesterdayView attachment 309070
this is the one today outside the garden centre. You can't really get to see the lights because of the sunshine, but there's hundreds.. the tree is about 30 feet tall..

Well as a Christmas tree I think that is horrible...at least mine looks like a tree
geez... we haven't even had Halloween yet....wot is the matter with this world ... rush rush rush

On a lighter note I just met a neighbour who last year gave me a chunk of her Christmas cake, absolutely delicious, and she just told me she has started on her cake for this year now and promised me a piece. She does the rum thing every three weeks. Can't wait. Yum

yep I agree I think it looks boring, and to be putting it out in October front and centre of the Garden centre is nuts....

I've been tasked with finding out details of a group tour to NYC and had a frustrating day trying to get a straight answer via email about some of the specifics of the itinerary. I finally called (anathema to an introvert, took me a few tries of calling and hanging up before I got up the courage to stay on the line until they answered! ha ha). You'd think a tour that includes 'Statue of Liberty' in its title would go to Ellis Island, but instead it just meant you could see it from a distance, sighhhhh, now I'm wondering if they go to any of the NYC spots in their itinerary or if they just drive the tour bus past them.

Other than that I've not gone anywhere or done anything today. Well, except I looked at the Medicare Part D changes, my plan is increasing their monthly cost by almost 60% percent. They don't seem to ever pay for anything, but I noticed that although my pharmacy is "in network" it is not "preferred", so apparently if I switch to a preferred one I'd pay less (why do they make everything so complicated?!?).

Good for you, for making the call..

My daughter has visited Ellis Island on her trip to New York city.. and been up the Statue of Liberty... among many other places... perhaps the secret in booking is to pretend you're a tourist from another country... it always seem that it's the natives of all countries who get the short straw..

Well, today am enormously relieved. A month ago had a blood test for my polycythemia vera blood neoplasm condition and after several months of close to normal levels while consuming a medicine, levels mysteriously shot way up. So doubled the dose. Today got jabbed and lab blood test just came in showing levels have dropped to a wee below normal so that scare is over. I have way too much happiness to live a lot of years more.

And then after attending the Hardly Strickly Bluegrass Festival 16 days ago moving about within its huge crowds of over 200,000 each day, came down with the Omicron COVID-19 strain. Had not even had a head cold for over 7 years since retiring. Did get the 3 early Phizer jabs and 4 brothers had caught it over the 3+ years. Very unpleasant sinus disease that had me worried but then 2 days ago my immune system seemed to have finally won that battle. Weight dropped from 138# to 131# so have been pushing a bunch of food in.

If I remain well as expected, will celebrate this weekend as the biggest Oktoberfest in our SFBA region is just a few blocks walk away on downtown streets with over 2 dozen bands scheduled on 4 stages.
