What are you doing today 2023

Today we shall be in the market town of Ringwood. The lady is getting her nails "done" at Callula. Later we shall enjoy a coffee and chances are I shall probably have something that's sticky, gooey and heavily calorie laden with my coffee. Later still, I shall cook Chilli Con Carne whilst the lady finishes off a dress that she wants to wear on Friday. That's Friday evening at The Jazz Club in Milford. After we have eaten I too have some work to finish off. It's a ditty about life with a vintage MG car, written in Italic Script. It's to present to The Handwritten Letter Appreciation Society's sixth birthday event tomorrow afternoon in the Dorset town of Swanage.

Can you believe MORE Rain this morning ?.. there's another weather warning of floods for today for the South and S/e of England... never seen as much rain as this ever... even in Scotland where I was born and raised, people say it's the wettest place in the UK... I never saw this much rain.. as the whole country is having this last week
 
My daughter made a beautiful 10 minute video celebrating the memory of our 2 late and beloved Pooches.. who for anyone who doesn't know we had to have PTS 2 weeks ago.. aged 15 and 16...

It's such a beautiful celebration of their lives, it made me cry :cry:🥰
 
morning folks....it is still raining!! Started about 6pm last
eve, and off and on ever since, we sure did need it too....
Today I have pulmonllogy app't at 11 or so, caught up
the laundry yesterday....feeling fair to midling right now...more

On my early walk around 6:30 temp was unseasonably warm 68
This morning, was orignally suppose to go to Canopy of Neighbors office to do filing.Monday I got email from Wendy{volunteer director} saying the office will be closed
My friend, Marcia called me 10 min after I got that email asking if I could come 'dog sit' Tage today. I'll be over there from 11:30-2:30. No doubt Tage will 'help' me eat my lunch tuna fish sandwich, petite carrots,an apple
This will be the highlight of my day
 
Metting with RE agent for lunch today. House hasn't sold due to high interest rates. Listing expires in 1 week. My options are to just stay here indefinitely (Home is paid off), or just re-list it now at the same price and hope for the best, or take it off the market and re-list in spring when everything looks best, or re-list it now with the offer to carry the mortgage for a buyer at 6% interest with $120,000 DP, or wait till spring and re-list with offer to carry the mortgage.
I really don't want to rent or lease it out because I don't have that much faith in people.
*** My reason for wanting to sell is because , living alone, the house is just bigger than I need, and more maintenance. Plus, if I choose to downsize, that would leave me with a very good income from the equity.

an update, just got phone call from Marcia, hubby Dave is home sick with a cold, so I won't be dog sitting today
Oh, well there will be other times for me to do this Sue

Consider talking to a different real estate company, even if the realtor is your friend. If you do list again right now, give it a couple of weeks. Leaving the same sign in the ground doesn’t catch the attention of people driving past. IMO, everyone lists in the spring when things are beautiful and then you end up with more competition. Sometimes, there’s so little available in the winter that buyers are desperate.

Very good point on the winter listings being less plentiful. As for the realtor I'm using, I know she has invested a considerable amount for professional photos, and full page ads in realtor mags, and out of the area listings, so I would feel a sense of betrayal if I went with someone else, and she is certainly well qualified. Also, the only people driving past on my street are just the ones who already live here. It's off the beaten path for general traffic.

Since the interest rate is high, and buyers may not be inclined, the strategy was to try and attract buyers who may be wanting to get out of the city because of traffic, gangs, drugs, crime, etc..., and move to a nice rural community (Maybe work from home). If they sell their home in the city, they will make a bundle, and could maybe even pay cash, and the interest rate would not be an issue.

It's a lovely day again but still no rain in the forecast for at least the next gazillion years. I watered my poor flowers. They were out there in the garden with their little leaves clutching their throats and gasping for water.

I'm home. Obviously. If not, I wouldn't be posting.

It was a hard morning, but everything got done. Tomorrow's a day off? Not. DD works away from home tomorrow but is going to drop me off on her way to work so at least I don't have to be there at 6. She's going to pick me up on her way back, which varies according to how much work she has. Sometimes she's home by 1130, sometimes not until 1. Sir is just glad that I'll be there at all no matter what time:)

Anybody remember a few months back when the bakery had a part-timer who had her own catering business and asked Sir if he'd work for her? She's the one who yelled at me to "move your @zz" and promptly got called to the manager's office for a dressing down, was scheduled to work in another department and when she got there, told the supervisor "If I'd known I had to work with you, I'd have stayed home," another dressing down from the store manager, then was transferred to another store the next week. Anyway, she asked for a transfer back to our store. Duh. Not bloody likely!

And TL? Sir is so ticked at her that he's scheduling her to work from either 11-7 or 12-8 every day next week. Aside from the fact that she gripes about whatever her schedule is, the noon-ish to early evening is the one she dislikes most. Sir said he was real tempted to schedule her from 1-9 or 2-10, but relented. Hallowe'en is Tuesday. Wanna bet she either leaves early or doesn't come in at all?

Yeah, well, even the store TL transferred from where the entire staff of the deli and the bakery quit en masse two weeks ago...they don't want her back.

One of the assistant store managers knew someone who wanted to transfer to our store. Wanted to...but found another job:(There's somebody out there with our store's name on him/her. I wish he/she would hurry up and find us.

Oops. Should I have said "them" or "they"? I can't keep track of what's in, what's out, pronouns, woke, whatever.
