Seems I have too much goign on.
Dog wants to walk or play.
I have some things in the washer that need dried.

I have a bill to send out,,if I can find the correct address.
Thistles need sprayed again & its clouding up outside.

Think I have a blurry picture of a coyote on the trail camera.
That may explain why woodchucks disappeared & fewer wild turkey & deer.

My daughter made a beautiful 10 minute video celebrating the memory of our 2 late and beloved Pooches.. who for anyone who doesn't know we had to have PTS 2 weeks ago.. aged 15 and 16...

It's such a beautiful celebration of their lives, it made me cry 🥰
Oh HD, I'm so sorry to read that news. It must have happened while I was away so I just now learned it.

My deepest condolences to you and your daughter. So very sad for you both.

Very good point on the winter listings being less plentiful. As for the realtor I'm using, I know she has invested a considerable amount for professional photos, and full page ads in realtor mags, and out of the area listings, so I would feel a sense of betrayal if I went with someone else, and she is certainly well qualified. Also, the only people driving past on my street are just the ones who already live here. It's off the beaten path for general traffic.

Since the interest rate is high, and buyers may not be inclined, the strategy was to try and attract buyers who may be wanting to get out of the city because of traffic, gangs, drugs, crime, etc..., and move to a nice rural community (Maybe work from home). If they sell their home in the city, they will make a bundle, and could maybe even pay cash, and the interest rate would not be an issue.
For over ten years now, most home sales are first located by prospective buyers on Zillow, Realtor.com and other internet sites. They contact their own realtor or the listing agent for more info or a showing.

If your realtor lists your home on the MLS, she'll attract anyone looking in your area and price range.

Rising interest rates are sales killers for most who aren't paying cash. My kids and their friends wouldn't dream of moving. Fixed 30 year, 3% interest rates will act as golden handcuffs for a lot of recent home buyers.

I'm feeling almost caught up with chores (ugh, just thought of a few not done). I flattened a bunch of cardboard boxes, did laundry, ran the dishwasher, hand-washed two new water bottles that I'm excited about (mostly I've hated any water bottle I've bought in the past, but these are sized-like and basically look similar to one-use water bottles, I'm so happy they fit in the mesh drink pocket of my bag).

I had a surprise mammogram, I was overdue for one and at my doctor appt last week the doctor sent a referral to a place next door to our community, they were very persistent calling until they got hold of me this morning and they fit me in this afternoon. I was reluctant to move so fast, but it does feel nice now to have gotten it done without having it loom on the calendar for weeks.

Oh Star I'd forgotten you were away at the time... it was just heartbreaking. I never got the chance to say goodbye to them...:(

Here's the story if you want to read it...

My adored Grandfurkids died today....

Had to run to the store for a few items.

Finally halved my 2 acorn squashes and stuffed the cleaned out cavities ala @Jules' recipe idea. They are baking now, in the oven along with a sweet potato.

I never ate sweet potatoes as a child. Our family never used them. Once, when visiting out of state relatives over Thanksgiving, my older cousin made dinner with a casserole of baked sweet potatoes, made even sweeter with maple syrup and marshmallows! My goodness, why?

It wasn't until I was in my 30's that I actually ate a sweet potato that was baked plain, in the oven like any other baked potato. Opened it and added butter and salt and Boingggg, I loved it.

Another thing I did today….
I learned something……I know…..not going to let it go to my head.

When I get deliveries…..the persons punch in my apartment #…..my cell rings…..then I press #9 on the keypad…..and the lobby door opens for them.

The learning part is this……
The # that shows up on my phone is the same #, no matter who it is.

I did good again……right. 😉🧐🤓😊.

I'm sick of looking at clothes I don't wear. They fit but there are too many. So, I spent some time today weeding them out to donate to the women's shelter, three more closets to go and drawers, oh God. I'm gonna need a U-Haul! 🥴
... but now what R you gonna do with all that empty closet space. Maybe the urge to purge will cause you to splurge, hmmmm?

Today I brought more colder weather wear upstairs and took lightweight jackets down. I must have been in a bit of over-donate mode last winter. I have a lovely lime green vest that I kept because it looked great with something. Obviously I gave that something away because it doesn’t co-ordinate with anything now. I’ll still wear the vest under something because it’s just the right weight for this weather. I still need to get brutal with removing more from my closets.

I also need to remove more ( donate )... but I've donated so much that I'm down to clothing that still have their price tags on...unworn...and yet I still have too much.

I would sell on FB marketplace, but I tried selling Brand new chinos last year on there which had belonged to my husband ..average size, modern style.. got no interest apart from scammers..

Um, if you knew me better you wouldn't have to wonder about that. If I choose to splurge it won't be on clothes and other things I don't need. The objective is to get rid of things, not accumulate them. 😉

I replenished my cosmetic cases (travel & purse), made more alcohol wipes, which I use for my devices and hands, labeled some items and finished packing for my upcoming mini vacation.

Late afternoon, I put away the groceries my son bought from Costco. While he ate dinner, we talked and I refilled my pill cases. I fell asleep after eating my dinner. I’ll catch up on posts here before the midnight hour.

No plans for today. On Tuesday we went for our Covid booster jabs and my shoulder is still aching. I didn't have any reaction to the previous jabs. I've also developed a cold with a bit of a cough and runny nose Not sure if this has anything to do with the Covid jab which was a new version of the Pfizer one.

Weather is lousy with rain forecast for today and tomorrow, so it looks like a 'stay warm and dry' day.
