@Old Salt, My mistake. It's Alt then 0176, then release Alt. I'm so used to doing it, that I quite forgot that I press the zero key before 176.
I have to press :
Ctrl + Shift + u (this will show an underlined u), and with Ctrl + Shift held down, type the unicode value (in this case B0) and release the keys.
and you get °

Yesterday afternoon we took our older (11 & 8) grandchildren to see "The Sound of Magic: Celebrating 100 Years of the Walt Disney Company Live in Concert." We'd bought the tickets in August but kept all details a surprise - even from their parents. They no idea what we would be doing or seeing - just knew they'd be indoors and needed to dress nicely.

It was a full live orchestra with a giant screen overhead showing Disney cartoon movie clips from Steamboat Willie (Mickey's early years) through the latest films. A charming, enjoyable matinee performance with an excellent orchestra. Attendees were young, old and in-between. Our grandson has started learning the violin so he was particularly enchanted. We took them out to dinner afterward, then brought them home.

Today I'll be back in the kitchen to make more dough.

We got home safely from the rink last night, but the drive was on the stressful side for me.....too many deer running across the road (and one very large cat)! I was so happy when we pulled into the driveway!

I've got BBQ County Ribs in the slow cooker, so dinner is taken care of. Now to decide what mischief to get into today.......

I went down and washed clothes at 2 a.m. Each time I go downstairs, I disinfect the parts of the machine that I will touch and that my clothes will touch when I'm taking them out. I also disinfect the laundry cart I put my bags in, just in case a piece or two fall into it.
Here are the steps I have to go down to get to the laundry room. I also have 3 steps in the hallway and 6 steps outside our building plus a couple of yards to walk to get down there. This time, instead of carrying my laundry bag down those steps, I just threw it. The heavy duty nylon held up well. It's easier on me because I also carry a tote with my laundry supplies. I'm ready to rest when I bring these two bags of wet clothes upstairs.

I just started drying them (it's 10:25 now). I'll have to put the clothes in the basket from the last laundry day away to make room for this load, but some of today's will get hung up. I'll load and run the dishwasher when I get finished drying the clothes. Since my dryer and countertop dishwasher are on the same power strip, I can't run them at the same time. I intend to relax and watch TV for much of the rest of the day.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GG.....HAVE A BALL....Diva i am afraid I would
smell to high heavan if I had to use all those stairs for laundry LOL.....just finished installing printer ink and printed a bank
statement, so now I can finish up the finanacial stuff for the
hospital....it saves me a ton of money to send the finiance papers in so it is worth the troubl3e.....think we will get
rain by noon, getting cloudy now....see ya.....

Just getting dark here now at 4pm..

I've done all the laundry... and the last of it is in the dryer now... I've put the first lot away... why does folding laundry always kill my back ?

I've got Belly pork roasting in the oven which I marinaded in Honey and mustard... and I'll have that with Brussel sprouts , and meat gravy in a little while...

Even putting things on hangers and then in the closet was getting my back. I finally figured out that I was setting my feet incorrectly and bending and twisting too much. Got a cheap but sturdy plastic patio "end table" and set the basket on that now to save some bending too.

Sometimes I wonder though. Do we make things "easy" and then have to do separate exercising to stay flexible?

@Old Salt You're not alone! There are lots of us on SF. I believe @Mizmo is 90+.

Warm and sunny. Tomorrow's a day off. So far "they" are calling for rain. Of course!

Was scheduled to work until 12 but Sir said yesterday that I could leave at 11 in order to avoid TL. My work wasn't finished, but I left anyway. She won't bother to do it.

DD insists that the whole family go out for dinner at a restaurant on birthdays. I really don't enjoy eating in a restaurant, but who am I to say just because it's my birthday? I'd rather eat at home.

DSD insists on calling me. I really don't enjoy talking on the phone. What's wrong with email? Ugh.

Trying hard to adjust my attitude. Unfortunately, as soon as I get to work and survey all the cr@p that TL left for me, all the stuff she didn't bother to clean, all the ___(fill in the blank)___, my sunny disposition gets un-sunny real quick.

Anyway, I'm home now and far away from TL. Don't have to put up with her again until Tuesday.

Sorry I cut off the rest of your post, GG, but I am constantly amazed at how we think alike in some matters! Talking on the phone is one of them! Thank God for email.

P.S. I think I'll have to restart my computer. My replies look wrong and I can't use emojis!

I have one of those and it's great for some things. Another thing that helps me a lot is I buy some of that rubbery bumpy shelf liner at the dollar store and cut it into squares. I put a piece in my purse, the kitchen drawer and several places around the house. It's good for water bottles, etc.

...I have my desk drawer lined with it to stop the section trays moving around.. and I have it under my microwave for the same reason..so when I open the microwave door the oven doesn't slide forward on the counter top..

@packleader.. as you probably know by now I love dogs... all dogs except rottweilers.. and until recently had many dogs in the family... and I love to see the pics of your beloved 3...but just for fun... if I was to choose one of yours just on sight.. and hope I've chosen the one with the best temperament... I would choose...the cutie with the white bib at the front... would I be wrong or right ?🥰
