What are you doing today 2023

Very lazy day today. I slept from probably 11:45 a.m. to 8:15. I don't remember the last time I got 8 hours of sleep, let alone more than that. I slept in a weird position though...much of that time I was "planking". I also played some games on my phone and watched more episodes of Departure (Peacock). I danced in the kitchen as I loaded the dishwasher. I will put the rest of the clothes in the basket away and sort laundry because I intend to go downstairs to wash clothes sometime after midnight. We are supposed to get heavy rains tomorrow afternoon into Monday, so can't wait until then. I'm in relax mode, so I'll eat dinner, watch more T.V. and play more games.

I had the dreaded two chirps coming from what I thought was the smoke detector. I have 8 hardwired together so it took some time to figure out it wasn't the issue. Turns out it was the carbon monoxide detector. Its life is over so I replaced it with a different one. I just hate when those chirps start. And it's almost always at night.

I read that it happens when the temperature is cooler, like at night. Also, for us it seems to happen when we’ve come back from vacation and the thermostat was set lower. Seems to prove that theory.

I'm up. It's pouring rain out there and 60 degrees! By the time I'm off work, it's supposed to have gone down to the 40s.

Today is DSIL's birthday, and we're going to an upscale restaurant...one that required reservations...for a late lunch at 1:30. Their menu looks so good that I'd like to order one of everything.

Gotta get moooo🐄-ving.

Omigosh! Thunder!

still in a minimalistic mood.getting rid of things I will never need and making more space in the house to move around more freely.i have to many rugs that trip me !
get rid of the rugs, they're elderly folks biggest danger.. unless you can enusre they are firmly taped down, and have n lifting corners or are likely to slide...

I have rugs in my house but they are very taped down...

I've been up since 5.30am.. went to bed at 12 past midnight..I was exhausted because I'd had an attack of serious debilitating pain which lasted several hours.. . I haven't had that pain for about 10 years... and coming out of the blue like it did last night , took me by such surprise I thought I was gonna have heart failure for sure, through shock and pain..not great when you're on your own, and it's night time..:(

Anyway.. I'm better today..the pain has subsided but it's left a general soreness which is reminding me it hasn't gone far.. just got to keep fingers crossed it doesn't return..

It's now 11.30am.. forecast says it will rain any time now.. DD just rang on her way to the garden centre...

I'm waiting for a delivery but so far there's been no ETA.. otherwise I might have gone for a little nap..

Last night I had a rare, for me, sleepless night and ended up binge watching The Squid Game Challenge. Needless to say, I slept later than usual this morning but, that's what grey, rainy Sundays are all about; sleeping late, drinking hot chocolate in front of a woodburner and being grateful there is nothing else to do but, chill. Have a good Sunday everyone :)

I'm not sure when you posted this because SF's time stamps can be weird. I'm curious to know what you ordered (or will order) and if it's as good as pictured. How nice that your family will celebrate with a nice restaurant meal. I love having the opportunity to do that too. We are slated to get the weather you were having starting this afternoon; high temp 62. Flood watches in effect for northeast N.J. and N.Y.

Hello to all!!

I had a fantastic day yesterday!!! I think I mentioned that the private party in the morning was cancelled. This was the first time that there was no morning party in months!!!! I'm finally feeling better (no knee pain, not sick, no toothache, etc) so....Dio played Christmas music, and I was able to skate for 2 hours!!!! It was great!!

In the afternoon, none of my friends showed up for the public skating session. But I was really busy at the snack bar, and we had such nice people there! Everyone seemed happy and had good time!

Next week, we go back to having morning parties...but yesterday was great!

😕 I forgot to tell you that a few months ago, both of the hygienists (at the dental office) got fed up over something, and quit! So I had someone new cleaning my teeth last Thursday....... I was not impressed with her!

Well as I have awakened more than I was at 330am, I am
not feeling too great, copd, tummy, rash, you name it.....sorry
Ggranny, no B & G today, didn't feel up to cooking it.....take care all folks......:cautious:
I am so sorry @hawkdon I just saw this post a minute ago. I hope you will feel better soon and forget about my request and Fedex and take it easy instead! And to those to whom I didn't reply through an emoji in the past and now (it's too much for me, I don't have the strength.) I did not see a single one of your posts since I never noticed the statement that said in effect: "more posts are available." I have missed a lot of posts over the past few years because I didn't click on that bar!

I'm planning a minor adventure.

Of course, there's the usual in a decent day, still being on my own for another few. Fix myself some breakfast, shovel snow off the deck, wash dishes, watch the birds at the feeder, scrub kitchen & bathroom sinks, fix some lunch. Even do some more sifting-out of old papers & files in my office. Check in sometimes here on SF (I enjoy it here with you folks).

But my adventure will be to make a pizza using "Anita's Pizza & Pasta Flour", which was recommended to me by a friend who's a very good pizza maker. Just bought the flour a few days ago. Said to be unrivaled.🤔🙃
