What are you driving.....and do you like it?

Another Jeep here ( Jeep Renegade) our car in Spain..

Thank you, yes, motorcycles become an extension of ourselves, or what we hoped we would become.
Heard that. (y) I'm not ready to give up my scoot, nor is the wife... although she had to go with a trike.
Hubby made me get rid of mine which I regret. It was a nice bike but he worried cause I drove fast. He thinks the ATV is a good substitute but nothing replaces a well loved bike.

2017 Ford Edge Sport. Twin-turbo V6 with 315 hp engine, because my previous 2010 Hyundai Santa Fe only had 157 hp. We almost got run over by a semi in 2015 trying to merge onto a Los Angeles freeway in Burbank because the Santa Fe just couldn't accelerate fast enough despite its V6 engine.

I live in a hilly area, and all the freeway entrances are uphill. I decided it wasn't worth making compromises any longer since this may be the last car I buy - although if Ford improves the seats on the Mustang Mach-E California Route 1, I'd buy one in a heartbeat, LOL. 0-60mph in 4.8 seconds, woohoo!

But I love the color of the 2017 model, and it's the first thing everyone who sees it, remarks on. It isn't one of the true "chameleon" paints but has a beautiful depth of metallic caramel brown that changes slightly as the sun hits it. Ford dropped this color after 2018 which I thought was dumb, because now a boatload of mfgs have models in colors very similar. They were ahead of the popularity curve, unfortunately.

This is a PR photo. I've tried capturing the paint color but it never quite comes out right. This was about the closest to how the Sport actually looks.

We had a Polaris (used for getting water while boondocking and scouring the hills around Quartzite), but I always felt better when the wife used our buggy for tooling around the acres in Arkansas. Never have liked the side by sides as they seem a little top heavy and therefore easier to tip over. Here... we have no need for either of them, but, there are some really nice twisty motorcycling cruising roads once you get to middle Florida and away from the coasts and the traffic.

We have a Honda foreman 520 but it’s strictly used for moving lumber around from the back of our property. The trees are cut down, sectioned, loaded in the Atv trailer and brought back to be split. Then it gets stored in racks to dry for our wood stove. We usually are a year ahead. Some of the branches I grind for mulch around the gardens and for our trails. We also use it to plough the snow in the winter. We have a ploughing blade.

There aren’t a lot of trails around here for ATVs but we made our own trails out back. It’s just not long enough for an adventurous ride but we are ok with that. It goes back about a kilometre but zig zags along the width . Our ATV is basically a work horse only.

My husband wanted the side by side but no way was I sitting in that. Just looking at those things make me cringe. There’s such improper balance and too heavy like you said. At least with the other single riders, the seat placement is in the middle. It’s far more stable and balanced which makes it able to go far more places and do more things.

We’ve talked about buying bikes and travelling together but I doubt it will ever happen. We have dogs that ‘almost’ go everywhere we go. I’ve seen some pretty adorable pet traveling ideas though. Lol.
For now the road biking days are over. I’ll drive the ATV but not far or for long.

Nice pictures of your lovely wife kicking it.😊

Ya, kinda crazy, isn't it?
I got to say though, I don't wave.
I like, no, I love my Jeep, but feel no allegiance to wave to every other Jeep? Naw, not me.
We do it on motorcycles for reasons relating to a brotherhood. We wave because we know we are taking huge risks for the enjoyment that comes with riding a motorcycle on the open road.
