What are you driving.....and do you like it?

I bought a little Smart Car in 2014. I love it! The gas mileage is phenomenal and so is the maneuverability.. I first saw them in Rome, Italy and said to myself that if they ever came to the US I would buy one - they did - and I bought one.
At the time I also owned 3 motorcycles - a Honda CB550, CBR1000 and CBR1100XX. The bikes were my main source of transportation - but sometimes I needed a car. An injury and age forced me to give up the bikes, so now the car is my main transportation

We are looking to buy an electric car, somewhere between a 2017-2018 Chevy Volt. Currently we drive a 2005 Chevy Aveo which gets great gas mileage but is really looking crappy due to the heavy snow here. I crashed it a few times, took off the side mirror, some scrapes, it looks bad. It runs great and gets fantastic gas mileage so can't beat that

Is that front plate in Spanish? :ROFLMAO:

2021 Hyundai Kona Ultimate-lease ends February. Ordered-2024 VW Jetta SEL to take the place the Kona.
I like to drive a new car every three years and turn them in before upkeep and maintenance become expensive.
Electric cars and hybrids seem the way of the automotive future but they have not proven to be cost effective or as reliable as gasoline and diesel powered vehicles yet.

We're fortunate here in Florida in that we do not have a front plate, only the rear. In the north, we knew them as "license plates", here in Florida they're known as "tags".
here in the UK we call them Registration plates, and it's against the law not to have both front and back plates..

During WW2 many states stopped issuing front plates. After the war they decided to save some money and never went back to using 2 plates.

An industry has grown up that sells widely assorted signs that are available to go in place of front plate. Mine is the Florida state flag. My daughter has a Florida panther on hers.

I bought a new Corolla that takes me to all the places I drive to in the valley. Corolla's Seamless Driving Experience is great. I'm happy. My mileage is quite low still as I don't really travel out of town.

An old Suburu. Like it? Yes and no. I want something more comfortable on my sciatic but I don’t know what that would be I like the Toyota hybrid RAV4 but I’m not sure if I’d be able to drive it a long way.

2023 Kia Soul. Like it because it suits our driving needs. Only drive about 4000 mile a year, at our age this will be the last vehicle purchased.

I’ve been leasing cars for quite a long time. I bought vehicles before I retired but my work took me to rural areas or travel on busy interstates and the miles piled on. I was driving a Toyota 4Runner I bought used with 30000 miles on it when I retired but it was too big, guzzled gas and was approaching the worrisome 80000 mile mark.

So I leased a Cadillac XT5. Loved it. After 3 years I leased another, and so on. My last Cadillac lease ended in March 2023. Their lease rates had increased to a point I could not afford. I could have made a bit of money by buying the vehicle then selling it but it was a hassle and I still needed a car. So I shopped around and ended up leasing a 2023 Subaru Outback XT. It’s big enough, powerful enough, has a higher ground clearance so it’s easy for an old woman with bad knees to get into and out of, many safety features plus it’s extremely comfortable and fun to drive. Most importantly, it meets my late brother’s frequent admonition to not drive a ā€œtoy carā€ (sub-compacts, etc.).
