What are you frustrated about?

I have so many things to be thankful for but I'm human and there are many small things that frustrate me. How my hubby can sit in his recliner all day long and ignore the small repairs that need to be done around our home.
My inability to make decisions and reliving past mistakes I can't do anything about. .
My daughter and hubby have rented a house in North Carolina for a week in late October. We had to cancel the one on Lake Champlain last May. It frustrates me not knowing if we will be able to go. I am so looking forward to it.

Oh do I ever know about reliving those past mistakes--now when my mind goes to that long list of them I'm trying to keep telling myself that I've gone over that list and guilt feelings too many times and I have forgiven myself. I think we all revisit those mistakes because we are human and also we can tell ourselves we have learned from them.

That everything I normally do I can’t do because of remaining
cancelled or being barred to crowds. But I note that a concert venue in Cardiff is selling tickets for shows in October and opens to the public on September 1st.What do they know the rest of us don’t?
Be careful. They did that here , sold tickets for events in August and they never opened, and people are having a devil of a time getting refunds

Right now, I'm frustrated at the whole 'cookie' business. When we visit any site on the internet, they put cookies on our computer. They say they use our data to personalize ads. I want to know exactly what personal information they pick up from our devices. No-one will tell me. They can also access other devices through our router.

Your internet browsing(sites you visit) history show what you are interested in, the "cookie monsters" want to collect that information and sell it to advertisers, who present 'targeted ads' to you. Over the weekend I had trouble with my Air Conditioner, did some googling and before too long there were little ads everywhere about air conditioners. :cautious:

I'm a super liberal. ( Now, before some get upset about the no politics thing. This works for conservatives, too.) What frustrates me is that the other side tends to see me as some sort of person, who wants to tear down the nation, and have some kind of hidden evil agenda. I kind of think the same about the other side. Yeah, there are some, who do get carried away with the partisan thing, but I think most people are live and let live types. What frustrates me is the super partisanship that stands in the way of solving problems.

Nothing important.

I get a little fussy over new technology but I feel like a superhero when I eventually figure things out.

I have added masks to the list of things that I tend to forget when I head out the door.

I keep 2 masks in my bag at all times, and just in case I don't take a bag with me when I go out, I keep one in a little baggie in the glove box in the car

My question to all my American friends.

Why are there so many angry people in the United States?
Anger is a human emotion and everyone has anger at one time or another. Anger is not limited to people in the US. Some express it appropriately, some don't, some suppress it and then have eruptions later on. Anger is really an okay thing. It is a response to stress at times, too. Anger can also be rising up against injustices and wrongs done to a person or people.

Violence is another thing and not a good thing from anger. Best to deal with it in a good way--but letting it out is important. It can be talked out, too.

I agree with anger as a human emotion and I suppose it's because of the population of the U.S. But from an outsider looking in it seems the U.S. is still living the revolution of 1776.

I belong to a political forum. Boy are they a cranky bunch.

Actually no. The tea wasn't taxed. They were supporting the East India Company. So why they picked on tea I have no idea. I wanted to visit that site in Boston Harbor when I visited but it was closed. I did get to see the statue of Paul Revere, Quite impressive. The revolution is still alive.
Well, all I know is we got really mad, dumped the tea, and we have been mad ever since. 😂

High Ruth....Right now their are 35 States you can't enter or be qurantined....That was from Murphy in NJ....We are trying to get to So. Carolina next month by plane..But that doesn't mean you can't drive their...
But when we get home we have to be quarantined.. Only if they lift it we'll be OK....
My son was able to go to Lake George in New York....That State and New Jersey are able to do that....
Before you go just look up when you can go to North Carolina...Maybe in October it would
be lifted....Be Well, My Friend....

My own personal view and experience is: the vocal minorities on both left and right sides of the spectrum command the most attention in news media and on social media. But they don't represent the everyday majority who are quietly working to make their lives and communities better, or even just trying to get by. I think social media including political forums have really fueled the flames though, since people tend to be super brave when hiding behind a keyboard. And I won't disagree that the past 5-6 years have seen a polarization... or at least certain elements now feel free to be more vocal.

But when forming your views of Americans in total through the lens of news media and social media, consider how Canadian issues get skewed to outsiders. Would you want the entire Canadian experience to be judged based on the news stories we see about Quebecois and Alberta separatists, and the white supremacist crap that filled forums such as r/canada ? Probably not.

There isn't much you can moan about in this pandemic.. So we live our life a little different....We were supposed to go to another State, but
we will have to be quarantine in the State...! Don't know if we want to do that....We would go on a plane....But coming back to our State, we would be Quarantined,, ,We'll probably stay home....Right now I'm looking forward to Thanksgiving and Christmas....with Family...
My Kids...…
So, you interact with your family and friends? I haven't touched or been around my grand children or children for 5 months now. I have seem my grandson and son for short periods of time outside, no touching. I wouldn't get on a plane for anything, certainly not a vacation. You are taking far more risks than I am willing to take. So you are not as inconvenienced as I am.

I haven't had any face to face contact with my only daughter since June 2019 , 14 months just as she was due to fly here to the UK in March, we went into lockdown.

They can promise and give you your money back if they can't deliver. It's a hedge bet.
