Apparently Buddy Holly and Roy Orbison both shopped at the same optometry store.
I love The Whispers. "Rock Steady", "Don't Be Late For Love", "Lady", and "It's A Love Thing" are all great songs.
Clearly you have very good taste Bob.I love The Whispers. "Rock Steady", "Don't Be Late For Love", "Lady", and "It's A Love Thing" are all great songs.
Great vocals & instrumentation. Truly a great group.Clearly you have very good taste Bob.After years of wanting to see them in person, my husband and me, along with my sister and her S.O. finally got to see them at Newark (NJ) Symphony Hall. It wound up being a disappointment...not because they weren't good but because the sound system was terrible. Also, they were down one man.... Nicholas (left) was sick and subsequently passed away (may he R.I.P.).
Have you ever heard the songs on the album Song Book Vol 1: The Whispers Sing Babyface? They did some really nice covers. But this is my favorite song by them (from the LP Thankful). @Pecos @Pinky @MarkinPhx @Pink Biz @Blessed @Pepper @seadoug @SeaBreeze
I luuurve that songThis was our wedding dance song, on July 9th, 1987.
36 years and the lyrics still sound fresh.
much as I love the rest of the country music folks in this video.... having Glen there is like having Rembrandt walk into the high school art class...just no comparison....(with the exception of Chet Atkins )
For fans of the original, this a pretty great cover of a YES classic
Heart of the Sunrise
Wow, that was an absolutely stunning and amazing rendition. Thanks for sharing that.I'm not a K D Lang fan but I was watching a Letterman interview and his guest was telling a story about how K D Lang brought down the house with her rendition of Roy Orbison's Cryin
