Lucky Man (Emerson, Lake, and Palmer cover)

This powerful and inspiring version of the classic track Lucky Man, written by Greg Lake and originally performed by Emerson Lake and Palmer, features Keith’s son Aaron and a host of rock music luminaries as they pay tribute to the extraordinary talents of Keith Emerson - The song is best remembered for it's use of the Moog Synthesizer at the end.

 
This afternoon at a local outdoor art/food/music street festival in about a half hour, this live music fan, will be dancing to a local band with the following long iconic West Coast bar and event cover band song list though they sometimes just do Doobie covers. Not close to my own harder rock favorite song list, but I can have fun dancing to a wide range of music and also genres.

Of course, like many cover bands, they are most likely to play a set with songs they've recently practiced that fit the 2 hour festival time slot. Some of you given recollection, may enjoy just reading the names of these songs and be able to relate if some are the same ones in your region.:

Today at the street Festival lots of song covers. Was most inspired dancing to the below anti war classic. How I feel intensely at my innermost core against the destructive path of the human race. Tonight on Youtube also enjoying its powerful video art.

This Bad Wolves cover of Zombie although more powerful due to the full hard rock treatment doesn't have quite the same vocal and emotional power as Dolores epic version in the original video.


Miley Cyrus is another newer era music celebrity I know little about beyond having seen a lot of news media headlines this person never selects. Then while moving through stations on my OTA TV, briefly saw her singing on some music award show and noticed how she has naturally strong vocal chords she isn't afraid to use. Sort of like, you know, like me haha. A small wise guy, with a surprisingly loud mouth.;)

Anyway, just watched her doing this live cover of Zombie. And yes. What a great choice for someone with an extra loud voice. Impressed. Am now one of her fans. She rocks hard like me. Maybe some day she will get a chance to cross pollinate dancing with me while singing that.

Tonight I've also been listening to this deeply emotional Chris Isaak classic Wicked Game. Maybe I feel like "No, I don't wanna fall in love, No, I don't wanna fall in love, With you, With you"
