What are you listening to in 2024 ?

Just watched A Complete Unknown for the second time. I enjoyed it, especially the music. I thought the singing was excellent, and sounded exactly like the people they were supposed to be.

I also enjoyed the sound track at the end, when for once they showed the lengthy list of credits instead of chopping it off right away, probably the reason being that they were playing several Bob Dylan songs being sung by Dylan himself. Great ending!

But I have to add, if the story is true, Dylan was pretty crappy toward the women who loved him. And even to Pete Seeger, whom he really liked at the beginning. The only sincere affection he showed to anybody was to Woodie Guthrie.

I loved the movie in the theater, then watched it again on hulu (?) I don't understand how this film was entirely ignored by the Oscars. I mean, come on, these actors learned to play instruments and sing! And Ed Norton as Pete Seeger was phenomenal.

What you say about Dylan is entirely true--it's fairly well known that he wasn't very nice to the women in his life, or even friends. People give him a lot of leeway, that's what creative genius gets you in life!
