What are YOU listening to in 2025 ?

I once had quite a large collection of first tapes and then cd's but wittled them all down eventually - I just wasn't playing them - but when I sit bottling beer I like some music playing - I put an Annie Lennox cd on recently - god she was a great singer in her hay day!

I could barely hear the bass...i checked it out.

Metallica's Justice for All Bass Issue

Metallica’s album “…And Justice for All,” released in 1988, is known for having nearly inaudible bass guitar tracks. This issue is attributed to the band’s mixing process rather than intentional sabotage. James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich have explained that the bass was mixed low not to belittle bassist Jason Newsted, but because they were burned out from touring and heavy touring had affected their hearing. They kept turning up other instruments until the bass disappeared from the mix. Newsted, who joined the band after Cliff Burton’s death, recorded his parts separately, but his contributions were not prominently featured in the final mix.
Fans have attempted to remix the album to make Newsted’s bass more audible. One notable remix is titled “…And Justice for Jason,” which features remixed bass tracks to highlight Newsted’s playing. However, Metallica decided not to adjust the mix for the remastered 2018 reissue, maintaining the original album as a historical snapshot of their story.

Thanks. These are nice reminders of the middle or late 1980s. I remember hearing them off and on since then, but had never seen a video of her performing.
