What Are You Stocked Up On?

Now I'm stocked up on poultry or chicken thighs and ground turkey. I also have some canned beans and several cans of soup. I have plenty of Kleenex and dishwasher pods and laundry detergent pods.

I also have a lot of nose spray for allergies. And plenty of medicine that I take.

Not so very much.
I do have extra canned Italian tomatoes, different types of canned beans, canned tuna and salmon; pasta, rice, and frozen vegetables. Also a few canned soups.

I have only one backup of certain items like olive oil, oatmeal, parmesan cheese, butter and a bale of TP.

I do have 2 extra lbs of coffee plus two jars of instant coffee crystals, three cans of evaporated milk for the coffee. In addition I have one package of powdered milk and one package of powdered eggs.

We have enough groceries, etc., to last us for several weeks. About the only thing we need to buy regularly are things like milk, bread, and eggs. We have a big freezer in the basement, and a couple of shelves for canned goods, and anytime that TP, or coffee goes on sale, we get some extras.
Due to every Spring / Summer possible hurricanes I have like 6 big jars of peanut butter and 6 of jelly plus saved food cans different types .

I do like PB and Jelly so eat the oldest jars and replace them , prices have gone through the roof for the big jars .

I was an avid extreme couponer for several years, before Covid, and I ended up with a stockpile of free/really cheap name brand goods that I didnt have room for, so Ive been trying to use it down to 4 of each thing - whether food or non food items. Im just having to think about buying laundry detergent and TP again. lol We live in a condo and space is at a premium here and I still consider myself very frugal, so Ive had the same 8 pack of paper towels for years as I just dont use them much, etc.

I buy the double "pack" of Skippy from Costco when they go on sale. I paid $10.99 for two 40 ounce jars in January. Hoping it goes on sale again soon. I love my PBnJ sandwiches too. It takes me a long time to use jelly and I'm almost out. I'll pick some up soon.

What about bread and/or crackers for your PBnJ? I've found that Ritz crackers last an incredibly long time after the best by date when refrigerated.

They are predicting a coffee shortage, also a rise in price. How long would your coffee last? If it has a long shelf life, I would stock up, if not for a year, at least a few months.
I have 4 Kirkland 3 lb. cans of decaf coffee stashed - the price continues to ratchet up. DH uses beans so can't stock those too long lest they spoil.

As soon as I break into a Costco bale of TP, I purchase another. My 3 bathrooms hold a combined total of about 45 rolls, so there's always plenty here.

Same with laundry detergent. When putting a new container into use, I add that to my shopping list. One container is good for 146 loads, so it probably lasts me 10 months. So I always have over a year's worth of laundry detergent on hand. Ditto other cleaning supplies.

Canned goods, dried beans/peas/pasta, oatmeal, PB, jelly, shelf-stable almond, soy, and oat milks, and other non-perishables? I've got more than enough to last at least 3 months. Like you, Diva, when Costco puts PB on sale, I stock up. Two double packs of chunky, two double packs of smooth. DH & I really like PB, as do our grandkids.

I haven't stocked up in fear of rising prices, but for the convenience of (almost) always having what I need on hand, and staying somewhat prepared for a shortage, pandemic, or local emergency like an EQ. We also have 30 gallons of stored drinking water, another 50 in the water heater, and a pool in the yard.

No sense in counting what's in the fridges/freezers because all could be inedible within a week.

Even if food and household supply prices double, DH & I will be fine as long as banks don't fail and SS continues on.

Back in 1980 the doctor told me to stop drinking coffee, it was irritating my gizzard.

I keep a few boxes of Maple cookies. There is only one store here that has them. They are shipped down from Canada.

If I drank anything alcoholic, the doctor would spank me.

The Publix market is only 9/10 mile from my front door, some of my neighbors will go there on a bicycle or a mobility scooter.

Does your DH store the coffee beans in the fridge? That's what the O/H does.
Not previously, but appreciate the suggestion. His preferred beans are on sale at Costco (Peet's Major Dickason's), so I'm thinking about grabbing 5 bags (the max). I can tightly double (freezer) ziplock each bag and stack them on top of the kegs in the kegerator.

It gets plenty hot in our garage over summer, so keeping the coffee cool isn't a bad idea.

Does nobody have backup for baking supplies, personal grooming supplies or simple things such as spray starch and shoe polish?

Primers, powder and led!!!
I don't do much baking, but have flour and a box of brownie mix in the house. I keep stocked up on personal grooming supplies (a part of the personal care products I mentioned in the OP). I buy Bic disposable shavers in bulk. My son uses spray starch, but I don't. I do have a supply of Scotch water proofing spray. I have shoe polish in several colors, even "cognac" because I do take good care of my shoes and boots. Here's a hack though...you need to polish a pair of shoes in a hurry, a couple of drops of olive oil on a paper towel will do the trick. Apply it and rub it in a little.

I accidentally have a bunch of tp. I sent the SO out to purchase a particular brand…and got 24 rolls of crap. So I sent my son out and even wrote down exactly what I needed. Another 24 rolls of crap. So then I ordered from walmart…free shipping if I placed a big enough order…so now have 48 rolls of the brand I love. Geeze…

I looked up storing coffee in the refrigerator because I thought perhaps a suggestion to our coffee drinking members to buy extra and store them there would be helpful, But I saw other articles besides this one that said storing in the fridge is a bad idea. Don't Store Coffee in the Fridge - Driftaway Coffee
@StarSong
I will tell the O/H this information.
Sites recommending against refrigerating coffee beans state say it's a bad idea because the beans may pick up moisture from the fridge.

Sites recommending in favor of refrigerating beans caution that they must be enclosed in freezer ziplocks or other moisture-proof bags to prevent moisture transfer. I'd double bag them to stay on the safe side.

Of course. Having backup supplies is a matter of habit. That habit gets applied across the board: food, baking supplies, personal items, household supplies, yard supplies, etc.
