What are your favorite fruit trees?

Growing up during K12 years in California's Sacramento Valley with its myriad areas of orchards, we kids spent plenty of fun climbing all manner of fruit trees and eating whatever. Any ripe sweet fruits or nuts were enjoyed without any need to have favorites. That noted, I do particularly like ripe sweet cherries, apricots, apples, and any types of nuts ie almonds.

I love apples. Don't know why, but all my friends know I love 'em?? One of the things that irks me about being a diabetic is I can't chomp down on my favorite fruit.
DH is diabetic too, his favorite fruit is also apples but they upset his stomach so badly that he can't eat them unless they are cooked. However, you understand that you can eat some sweets or fruits as long as you balance it with protein.

We have 2 pie cherry trees, and I find my back is so painful to be on my feet that I don't cook or bake anymore. Just as well, he can't pick the cherries anymore as he is too unsteady now his balance is so bad. This being in our mid 80's is for the birds!

In our yard, we had a Mango tree and a Cooking Banana tree.
I loved the Mango's Green, sliced up in a Soy based dish.
Also, good when ripe.

The bananas were small, green things mom would use for cooking.

Now that I live in the Southern part of the U.S., enjoy peaches when they hit the farmer's market.

When I was a kid I spent a lot of time at my grandma's house. Her neighbor across the street had Seckel sugar pear trees. My friends and I regularly pilfered those sweet succulent little pears.

Thank you for all of your helpful comments. I ended up not getting the three fruit trees previously mentioned,
due to the persimmon and mulberry being way too big, and the pomegranate fruit being mostly seeds. They did
have a dwarf mulberry bush, but the fruit from that one is quite small and would have major competition from birds.

Thanks to the comments, I ordered two of the Royal Crimson Cherry trees, a new variety that has a low chill hour
requirement, thus being suitable for this area. They were shipped here Wednesday, and I planted them yesterday.

This makes 9 new fruit trees that I've planted this week. ๐Ÿ˜Š
Plus I'm still considering additional possibilities and where I would put them.
My yard space for trees is quite small, so the trees are spaced 8.5 feet apart, and I will keep them at 6 feet tall.

The trees have been putting out new flowers starting February 14th through two days ago, March 21st.
It was exciting when the flowers started blooming. Some of them are full of flowers, and some have just a few.
Based on the flowers I thought there might be some fruit by next year. However, tonight I looked at the trees again,
and surprise! Two of the apricot trees and one of the cherry trees are already growing some fruit. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ
I don't expect much for this year, however next year might have some production. ๐Ÿ™‚
