What Are Your Trigger Foods?

I was recently diagosed with Type II diabetes. I'm not sure I have the self control you have .. yet. Right now, I'm going without - until I feel 'stronger'. So, I'm doing without  So far, I've had no cravings.
I am a diabetic Pinky and sometimes my will power goes out the window, especially with certain sweets So good for you for not caving to temptation. I so admire people who have a strong willpower when it comes to food.

I have to have willpower now - as I don't want to end up on insulin like my father. Believe me, I've never been one to have much willpower around salty snacks. I'm looking for foods that I can have, and like, which means trying new foods. Thank you for the heads up :)

You are fortunate not to be on diabetes meds. I'm on Metformin, but hope to not be - if I am really conscientious about keeping myself on the straight and narrow.

I am starting on my third day of breaking my Mentos habit. It honestly feels like an addiction. Sucking & chewing on them became my custom only a short time ago, I think less than 2 years. I'd start after dinner. This would be the time where I would normally do most of my bad habits, but I had none left. I went from 3 packs a night down to 2, and only would do better accidentally, like if I came home late & didn't have the time. I noticed Sunday there is just a week left to the month, so I thought, "Don't I even have the guts anymore to stop something for 1 week?" Hopefully it will become permanent, as insanely, I am diabetic for most of my life, and recently gained weight and find the Mentos is the only thing I've added since the beginning of adding pounds.
