What brand and make is your lawn mower?

I'm considering a lawn mower but now, I'm using an EGO Battery-Powered string trimmer as a lawn mower. I don't have an actual lawn but it does a great job on weeds; it actually has more power than a gas trimmer. When I do get a mower, it will also be an EGO.

1. Toro Personal Pace mower for the tight areas in the yard.
2. Husqvarna Yth24v48 riding mower for the bulk of the yard.
3. Kubota B2910 tractor with several implements....including a 5ft. brush hog for maintaining our walking and logging trails through the forest.

Snapper 30" rider, and a Toro, 22" walk behind.

For trim & blow....I have switched [from gas] to rechargeable Black & Decker.

I've got a Troy built Pony that while lasting a long time, has never cut right. No matter what I do to adjust it, I still get stripes. Now, the rest of the property gets bush hogged by mr ugly, who may look rough, but he runs great and never lets me down.DSC01622.JPG

I don't remember the last mower I had but it was at least twenty-five years ago, maybe longer. When I got rid of whatever I had I considered a Toro self propelled job but a kid down the street kept stoppoing by wanting to mow my lawn. I knew he needed the money so I let him mow the yard. When he no longer wanted to mow I hired it out to a professional, a fireman who also had a lawn care business. When I moved from Lubbock, Texas to Oklahoma, I bought my son a new mower, hoping he might occasionally mow my yard. I told him to get the best of whatever brand he wanted. He had been using an old electric mower and he replaced it with a super duper electric job. My yard grew taller and taller. I hired the yard done. It is done every other week on the same day of the week. I have it done on Thursdays. It always looks great. I haven't been able to push a lawnmower for several years so I'm happy, my lawn guy is happy. It's a good arrangement.

Most houses in the UK have virtually no garden to mow, so we don't need anything too large.
There are a lot of different brands around, but I always go for one with a Briggs & Stratton or Honda engine. I've also got a Stihl strimmer to trim the edges and deal with any rough patches.

I wouldn't say MOST houses have virtually no garden... but yes many don't, especially in the cities .. , and certainly out of those who have gardens very few can talk in acreage..

Out here in the rural shires gardens are much bigger .

We have fair size gardens here but they would be tiny compared to most of the above... we don't need a sit and ride mower, but we do have a Bosch Rotak 430 cordless which gets the job done easily and quickly...

Nice place Ken.

We have over 2 acres and we have to keep it all mowed because of fire danger and the rattlers like to hide in tall grass. We have 2 Craftsman mowers, one is 16 hp and one is 20 hp. I asked my husband or I wouldn't know. He enjoys mowing but right now the fire danger is so high they discourage mowing or running the weed-eater (some call it a weed-wacker). And it's forbidden to do it after 10 a.m. right now.
