What Can You Talk About For Hours?

Not nearly as much as I used to. I have many interests, cars, and trucks, metal working equipment of all kinds are at the top of my list of things I truly enjoy, but not many share my interest, and I don't like forcing people to listen to something they have no interest in. I belong to forums that fill that need for me. I enjoy this place as it is varied in subject matter, and has mostly, very nice examples of humanity. Mike

What Can You Talk About For Hours?

I would enjoy talking about Art, Artists, Art Techniques, Art Supplies, Art Books,
Art Events, Art Museums, Art contacts, Art Websites, Local Art, Global Art, Art Classes

And Worthy Causes of all kinds.

But SF doesn't have an Art Forum...members sometimes use the Hobbies Forum but Art is a whole community unto itself

There's nothing I'd want to talk about for hours if you mean that literally. I'm more of a visual person.

What Can You Talk About For Hours?

Hours?
More like minutes

Unfortunately, I'm an apparent good listener

Seems folks love to tell me about the movie they've just watched, describing scene by scene, and going on to explain how funny it was (several adjectives), stopping only to laugh

Or their precious angelic children

Or the antics of their delightful pets

I've fallen asleep thru these
Head bobbing, snorting awake
Doesn't seem to deter them one whit
When I snort awake, they're still going at it
About then, I'm wondering if they are of alien descent, as I no longer hear them taking any breaths
Their intent....talking me to death (be still my heart...sweet death)

I have found pointing at something behind them, gets them to stop and look
That's when I take the opportunity to run the other way

My pet rabbit, of course, but rabbits in general too. My previous pets. Decorating small spaces. Keto/low carb food and recipes. Working on my family tree. The local area that I live in. Growing up in FL. Cooking in my kitchen and various methods or foods I use. I am sure there must be more because I do talk a lot once I get started.

It is kind of hard to answer this as my interests have changed so much after I moved from the country to here. Things that interested me don't seem to matter to me anymore.

Lately, covid numbers! Also the annoying new manager at work, the impossible workload, gossip about which people will likely be retiring or quitting at work (we lost/losing three people this month at work - two of them because they don't want to return to the office) and why doesn't the company hire anyone to fill their positions, etc.
Back in my horse-y days I could talk for hours about everything-horse with my fellow riding friends.
I've probably yakked a lot this past year about my upcoming retirement, budgeting in retirement, investing info (which I wish I'd known years ago, kind of too late now).

Maybe reminiscing with my siblings or children about numerous events and memories, but otherwise I keep to minutes, not hours.

Although my children and grandchildren's lives are interesting to ME, others find them about as interesting as I find their children and grands. A five minute "hit the highlights only" family catch-up with friends is often at least one minute too long...
