What Category Of Advice Do You Typically Ignore

Political
(I noticed long ago, those giving political advice have burning pants)

Financial
(No...its not yer money....its mine.....and its gonna stay mine)

Metaphysics
(or anything involving the transitional zone at which the diaphysis and epiphysis come together)

I've always been a trailblazer by nature, not afraid to boldly go where no man or woman has gone before, and I really walk the walk and talk the talk when it comes to that.

I'm my own person and so when I feel advice being forwarded my way is defunct or trivial to my situation I typically thank the person for the recommendation and carry on doing my own thing, my very own way.

For instance, I've been told by a good number of people (family mostly) that I should relax and eve need to relax when it comes to housework and cleanliness, and nothing chaps my bottom worse. So long as I'm the one doing the cleaning and organizing, people should butt-out and buzz-off.

I like to think I am big enough to listen to advice…whether I take it or not is another matter. However…the most offensive ā€œadviceā€ in my book, is warning a person about another person. That makes me :mad: let a person find out for themselves whether good or bad. I do not need advice about people, I do not want to see anyone from your perspective.

I ignore advise if I tried it in the past and it didn't work for me. In the past I tried to follow advise about going to bed earlier and getting up earlier, for me it was painful and I'd wind up exhausted from lack of good sleep. So I just ignored that advice and if I got a job that was controlled by "normal people" I would simply lose that job and be philosophical about it. Luckily the culture at my current job respects people of all circadian rhythms.

The kind that starts out with, "Well, I would have done it this way." Well, you weren't doing it, so shut up already.
LOL. That's known as "MMQB." Monday Morning QuarterBacking. Trying to appear intelligent by explaining how they would have done something differently, when they already know the choice you made turned out bad.
Some people are experts at it.

HAHA. Something I learned while I was working: When you do a better job than other people, it brings out what they know they lack in themselves & it irritates them.
