"Oh, you gotta try this!" I instantly go in to ignore mode when I hear that. The advice I never follow is what item on a menu to pick from a restaurant recommended.
LOL. That's known as "MMQB." Monday Morning QuarterBacking. Trying to appear intelligent by explaining how they would have done something differently, when they already know the choice you made turned out bad.The kind that starts out with, "Well, I would have done it this way." Well, you weren't doing it, so shut up already.
HAHA. Something I learned while I was working: When you do a better job than other people, it brings out what they know they lack in themselves & it irritates them.I've always been a trailblazer by nature, not afraid to boldly go where no man or woman has gone before, and I really walk the walk and talk the talk when it comes to that.
I'm my own person and so when I feel advice being forwarded my way is defunct or trivial to my situation I typically thank the person for the recommendation and carry on doing my own thing, my very own way.
For instance, I've been told by a good number of people (family mostly) that I should relax and eve need to relax when it comes to housework and cleanliness, and nothing chaps my bottom worse. So long as I'm the one doing the cleaning and organizing, people should butt-out and buzz-off.
Great doctrine!I don't ignore any of the things people advise to me, - there must be a reason, but I will make my own choices.
