One of my favorite childhood TV shows was 'The Ghost and Mrs. Muir' which sadly only ran for 2yrs 1968-1970.The show starred Hope Lange as 'Carolyn Muir' Edward Mulhare 'Capt Daniel Gregg'.Hope and Edward had such wonderful onscreen chemistry together,in some episodes they 'bickered' like they were really married. The other cast members were Charles Nelson Reilly as 'Claymore Gregg',Capt's great nephew,Reta Shaw as housekeeper'Martha. The 2 adorable kids were Kellie Flanaghan'Candy' Harlen Carrather'Jonathan' I can now watch old episodes on Youtube
Hope won back to back Best Actress Emmys for her performance
I had a huge crush on Mulhare during the show's run ,that continued when he co starred with David Hasselhoff in NBC show' Knight Rider' '82-'86.He was more handsome without the beard
The show was updated from the movie which starred Rex Harrison,Gene Tierney.I prefer the TV version

I like them also and watched them over and over for years.

I'm not sure how one classifies a TV show as a classic. Generally I'm not that interested in watching the shows I've watched in the past. I think there are only two that I'm interested in watching again.

Frasier - I like to watch the occasional episode from time to time but don't watch them very often.

The Prisoner - I love this series and would love to see the all the episodes again.

I also occasionally catch a Sex & The City when my wife is watching but don't really consider that to be a classic TV show.

The Andy Griffith Show (I am binge watching that presently)
Little House on the Prairie
The Burns & Allen Show
I Love Lucy
Mash
Taxi
The Waltons
Seinfeld
Golden Girls
The Mary Tyler Show
Rhoda
Probably more, I just can't think of them right now.

Since it was aired on PBS in 1971, I'll include " Upstairs, Downstairs ".
Hudson, the Bellamy's, Rose, Mrs. Bridges. Now those were some great characters.

Another that I got hooked on while living in the UK was " Eastenders ".
Started watching in 1987 to 1991 and had to wait for the first episodes to reach
Youtube to catch up over here.
