What did you get for Christmas ?

Nobody's up here except Maggiecat and me.

Don't be sad, yu
Got some gummies from Santa, so will be taking the day off today, and helping put the prime rib dinner together.
Funny, that is one of the presents I gave my son, a prime rib roast and of course some shrimp to go along with the main course.

Plenty of chocolate, some garden center gift cards, new slippers (much needed), solar lights for my garden, a bird feeder and bird seed. The solar lights and the bird feeder have been installed already, a funky metal hen for the garden...she's been named Henrietta.

I'm gonna have lots of $$ to spend on flowers in the spring. I've added the gift cards to my stash.

Everybody got lots of stuff they wanted, we all ate sandwiches, deviled eggs and pasta salad and dessert until we couldn't hold anything more.

DGS did come over after all, masked up. He got mostly stuff for the upstairs kitchen in the house he just bought. All the make-do things he had in his kitchen will be relegated to the kitchen in the basement apartment.

It's safe to say that a good time was had by all. DGD is napping, DD is fiddling around doing something or other, DSIL is getting ready to go to work. I'm resting.

After while, we're gonna indulge in kahlua cheesecake.

Apparently Santa didn't think that I'd been a good little boy this year so all I got was a lump of......:(

A lump of coal? Coal is an enormously valuable fossil. Ask any coalman.

Look what Santa found in his sack for me:

Tomorrow I will photograph it in daylight. My talented lady has lined up the pattern so well you wouldn't know the front from the back if you didn't see the collar. The picture on the right shows the buttons and breast pocket. (Honestly.)

My brother,John& sister in law,Suzanne sent me a picture of our immediate family that was taken at my niece,Katie's wedding wedding in Oct in NYC.Katie's husband, Zach grew up in Williamsville, NY{suburb of Buffalo} my sister, Mary who I hadn't seen in 10yrs, she lives 'across the pond' in Ham,Richmond{ burb of London} This certainly boosted my spirits after going through the past 48hrs of snow/howling winds
I plan to get together with my close friends, Marcia&Dave sometime this week{they are 2 blocks away} we couldn't do it on Xmas eve

What a lovely day for you! Glad you are enjoying it, and enjoy the cheesecake! Merry Christmas! ❤️

I forgot, at the beginning of Hanukkah my tech-lead (from the job I retired from earlier this year) sent me a $36 Amazon egift-card. I haven't received my order yet, but I redeemed it to buy this $38 corner table. Someday I may spray paint it a different color to match my other furniture, but currently my other furniture is corrugated cardboard, so unknown what color theme will eventually establish itself.

Boy, these alpaca wool socks are really warm. My daughter gave us each two pair.

Awesome socks…….there is a person living on an acreage, just a couple steps from town……she and her husband have alpacas…..have had them for many years……they show them……they sheer them……using the wool for making many things, which they sell. She has processed the wool herself in the past, but now they hire it done.
ENJOY them Pappy and Mrs. Pappy.

What did you get for Christmas ?

It's not for me anymore
(I've got too much stuff already)

I do remember a recent Christmas (maybe eight years ago)

Got the jenny to power the cabin

I forgot! Santa brought me the Wellies that I've wanted for so long. Woohoo and stuff! I've been buying cheapie garden boots that only last a season and have wished for Welliingtons but never have that much $$ available all at once when I had to have new boots. Wellies will last forfreakingever. Yay!

I got some coveralls for working in the shop. 100% cotton! Polyester blends are too damn hot and sawdust seems to cling to them. I also got some good quality mechanical pencils.

I built a friend of mine a nice triple tier plant stand out of oak for X-mas. I also bought her a few plants from Amazon, but they all died! I guess there are some things you just can't buy online.

I got a RYOBI One+ Hand Vacuum with 18v Charger and it has a couple of on board tools so I don't have to bend down too far
We have a 6 month old Lhasa Apso X and his fine hair catches all sorts of things in it from his forays outside
I am glad to have my RYOBI Hand Vacuum

It is reasonably heavy so not a toy and has a large dust bin so I don't have to empty too often
The battery can fit any of the RYOBI One+ tools
