What do watch TV on?

Years ago, my old 'huge' 32 inch screen color TV died. It weighed over 60 pounds, and when you turned it on, it warmed up the house, because of the tubes in it. ( While I was typing that sentence, it dawned on me that we no longer think of TVs as being B&W OR color.) So now, I have 48 inch flat screen, which is on most of the day. I've also got cd and dvrs hooked up. And I've got a 5 speaker surround system- not that TV is important to me :). So, on what do watch those TV shows we claim have no entertainment value? No TV? How do you get daily dose of electrons?

I watch very little TV. Maybe a crime show now and then, or a baseball, basketball or football game once in awhile, but I’m just not a big fan of the tube. I don’t do a lot of reading, either. I still read “Readers Digest” because I was raised on it living with my grandparents and the magazine “The Smithsonian.”

I have a 22 inch Phillips TV I've had for a couple of yrs that is my source of watching TV shows I don't have the TV on during the day, don't subscribe to Netflix, Hulu doesn't interest me.
I do watch some Youtube videos that interest me via my laptop

It's easy to get used to no television if you have other interests. We had no television at all for the first thirty years that we were married. Dancing, as in Latin & Ballroom, as well as vintage functions took up all our social time, so much so that we would put my wife's shift pattern, (she was a paramedic,) on a calendar then fill in the blanks with social events.

The only reason we bought a TV is so that when my late mother-in-law came to visit she could watch the daytime soaps that was addicted to. To this day we have but a small television that lives in a cabinet, behind closed doors, at least for much of the time. So what do I watch on TV? Mainly the dust settling on top of the cabinet!

I have a 37" Vizio that is over 10 years old and a 19" in both the kitchen and living room. I keep telling myself to buy a new one but never get around to it. The small ones are on and off during the day and the bigger one is for evenings in front of my recliner in the TV room. I watch what's over the air from an antenna. It's free with 27 channels and is adequate.

We have a rather new 50" TV
Didn't have one for the six years living in the mountains
Could not believe how cheap they are now
Watch mostly YouTube documentaries
On occasion, my lady will search for a movie
It's nice ever once in awhile
We don't have cable or anything that requires payment

I watch streaming tv with an Amazon Fire Stick I have access to many channels (examples..Sling, YouTube, Netflix) .. I mostly watch MSNBC and Movies.

48'' flat screen Panasonic

36" Sony. Fibe TV and we have HBO, Crave, Amazon Prime and Britbox. Thinking about Netflix now that they lowered the price, not sure.
I have Netflix... watched it once... it was something the o/h preferred to me.. I'm not a big film watcher.. and all the other shows shown on Netflix are on my TV channels anyway... so I don't have to go into Netflix to watch them

My primary TV is a 49” Sony. It’s on just about all day. I usually have on YouTube and enjoy the Earth Cam stations that show various cameras around the world plus relaxing music. I use Google Chromecast and subscribe to way too many streaming stations but I’m never at a loss for entertainment. I will watch a movie in the evenings or I like to binge watch seasons of shows.

Almost exclusively old movies from streaming channels on the Fire Stix, or TCM or Grit on a 48" flat screen Sanyo. Pro football when it is on!

All I have is a smartphone. It's portable and versatile. I can watch TV shows on YouTube (and, in the past, Netflix).

A workman recently exclaimed, "You don't have a TV!" I said I'd have to pay for a TV, a table to put it on, and a monthly fee. I can't justify the expense.

I have considered getting a projector and hooking it up to my phone. But reading the reviews, it seems that sometimes people have a problem connecting the phone to the projector. So forget about that.

Thank you, @hollydolly . So far I have no problem with just the smartphone. I will keep the screen magnifier in mind though, in case I need something in the future.

Yes, I access the forum (and everything else) on my smartphone. I quickly got used to typing with a stylus, instead of with all my fingers.

I have a 32" flatscreen tv hooked up to a computer and a blu-ray player. Friday nights the family upstairs comes down and we watch a movie. The ten year old comes down regularly to watch cartoons on Netfix. I might occasionally watch something but not daily.

I like documentary and travel shows, haven't watched a movie in years.

It is said that a TVin the bedroom is bad for your love life.

From the time I 1st wake up, until I go the bed at night, the 32' flat screen TV is on. Often combined with a DVD movie. Even while I'm in the kitchen cooking.
