What do you collect?

I try not to collect anything, except, perhaps, dust! LOL! A friend once told me, if you have three of something, it's a collection. I would love to be a minimalist, but something always seems to get in the way. I have a breakfront full of crystal that I almost never use, and yet I cannot seem to get rid of it. Sigh.

pig related things. i have a whole box of GLASS pig Christmas tree ornaments. haven't had them out since becoming a "cat lady". seems most of them have dingly-dangly parts. like hula pig with grass skirt.

I have a 6 foot curio cabinet filled with small souvenirs of our travels. I have everything from a large Fabrege egg replica from Russia to 3 miniature terra cotta warriors from Xian in China.

Hmm. I collected teapots and teacups and saucers for a time. But I used them too so I’m not sure that counts? I still have them but they’ve been boxed up for a few years because I had no place to put them. When we get done renovating the kitchen the cupboards will have high shelves that are glass fronted, and I’ll put my tea collection on display up there.

I am so tend to collect and hoard linens...comforters and throws primarily, though I have at times amassed collections of sheet sets, decorative pillows, tablecloths etc. I got rid of almost all of it a few years back, but a random comment from Ron made me realize that I’ve started collecting again! 🤦🏼‍♀️

At one point, I was collecting green "Depression ware". It's that glass set of dishes. It was supposed to be "collectable", and really increase in worth. I bought a whole bunch in the late 1970s . It never took off as an investment. Even Goodwill wasn't happy when I donated the stuff.
