What Do You Eat for Breakfast?

I've probably posted this in the past, but usually five days a week it's oatmeal made with steel cut oats (Bob's Red Mill - not all steel cut oats are created equal).
To the hot oatmeal in the bowl, I add:
- 1 Tbsp natural peanut butter (Teddy - the only ingredient is peanuts)
- 1/2 Tbsp pure NH maple syrup
- 1 Tbsp roasted sunflower seeds
- fresh fruit (typically berries or banana) or sometimes a glass of juice on the side.
Eaten with a cup of Siggi's Icelandic non-fat skyr (yogurt)
Tea

In total, it adds up to around 500 calories (50% from carbs, 30% fats, 20% protein, 10g fiber). A near perfect macronutrient balance.

All very interesting but hardly any are inspiring me today, I do like the idea of oatmeal with applesauce.

I'd like to hear what others eat for breakfast, since I'm sick of my current meal which I've been eating for a decade: yogurt thinned with almond milk with berries and a spoonful of Cheerios. I typically change my breakfast every few years, and I'm overdue.
I typically eat an egg, either a veggie scramble or over medium. I find that I crash if I eat a carb breakfast.

My breakfast varies. It depends on what I feel like eating. My favorite would be a jumbo egg with roasted red pepper and sautéed mushrooms, a slice of whole grain toast or half of an English muffin, half of an avocado, fresh fruit, and coffee.

Some days it's hot cream of buckwheat cereal, or oatmeal with nuts and fresh blueberries and banana, and coffee. Other days it might be cold whole grain cereal with nuts and fresh fruit, but it's not my favorite. I might just have a bagel with cream cheese and everything seasoning sprinkled on top with a couple of slices of regular or Canadian bacon and fresh fruit.

Occasionally I'll make an Egg McBella. Whole grain bread spread with a little mayo and Dijon mustard, a fried egg with a slice of cheese melted on top, sliced fresh tomato, a couple slices of bacon, and lettuce. Or I'll have a Dutch Baby Pancake with maple syrup, fresh fruit, and a couple of slices of bacon on the side. It's delicious, quick, and easy because it cooks in the oven.

Yummm. Everything sounds fabulous and healthy.

Breakfast varies for me. Depends on my mood.
For my first breakfast when I got up I had Belvita Biscuits.
For my second breakfast I had a three egg omelet with Canadian bacon.

I could never eat only once a day. I need to eat every two hours or I get snippy. :D

I have stumbled upon a great fried egg b-fast sammy:

I lightly toast two slices of sourdough bread
I lightly butter them
I drizzle a little sriachi sauce on each one
I grate some extra sharp cheddar on one
Then grate pepper jack on the other
I put a fried egg that I broke the yolk on in between them

I have a pour over coffee with freshly ground beans with it

I diagonally slice the sammy and dunk it

It's my favorite b-fast

Every Sunday morn while listening to classical music.

Life is good.
