This morning I had a bowl of oatmeal with butter and a drop of maple syrup. Bland still, but my mind is opening up to other things.
You do your own thing in your own time, man. You should be proud.Yes, I've had others getting all spastic over my putting ketchup on "good" meat. But if you can't smother it in ketchup why eat it. BTW, there is only Heinz ketchup. No store brand ever touches my lips.
Have to admit I don't know what mirin is. Or miso. I've had miso soup but I don't know what miso is.Breakfast today, steel cut oats, mushrooms, dash of mirin, dash of rice vinegar, Hawaiian style white miso.
Miso is made from soy, you can find it wherever you find tofu. It's how they make miso soup. Mirin is a kind of rice wine vinegar, I think; I've used it in sauces and marinades. I somehow cannot imagine either in oatmeal, but I'm trying to remain open on this subject.
ChardonnayI'd like to hear what others eat for breakfast, since I'm sick of my current meal which I've been eating for a decade: yogurt thinned with almond milk with berries and a spoonful of Cheerios. I typically change my breakfast every few years, and I'm overdue.
