What do you enjoy about being a Forum member?

This forum is special in many ways. It brings back the camaraderie I felt many years ago in school.

It gives me hope that not all of society has gone down the toilet.

The knowledge and experience in this forum is a vast and valuable resource.

I feel fortunate to be a member here to socialize, learn and contribute.

God bless you all❤️

I love this forum and its members.
I love the friendship, the connection, the exchange, the learning, the reliable information, the care and respect we give to each other.
Thank you Matrix for giving us this platform.
Thank you to all my SF Friends for bringing joy and comfort in my life.

It is difficult to add to all the comments that have been made prior to this one. To me, it's like coming home and finding my house full of good friends. Some who want to give me some good advice, others, to joke and kid with, and well, you can figure out the rest.

I also love the globalization exchange of cultural differences and so much I have learned from people everywhere. Am so grateful for the acceptance I receive and when I say, I truly hold you all in my heart, it is probably the most honest I have ever been.

I love you guys, each and every one of you. Don't care whether or not we agree on stuff. You are Here. You have brought me up when I'm down. You've made me laugh when I feel like crying. You are loyal, always here. You've taught me things, about myself. You've taught me things on many varied topics. Love learning new things. Most of all, you are familiar, friendly, kind and funny. Smart too.

Thank you.

I've found the members of Senior Forums to be generally kind, respectful, supportive, and knowledgeable and to have a good sense of humor. I like being able to interact with others in my age group. In discussions, most are able to express their opinions without being rude or insulting. I'm fond of quite a few of them and proud to call them my friends. Of course, you'll come across a few asshats no matter where you go, but once they show you who they are, they're easily avoided.
All in all, I like it here.

I enjoy being able to talk to people from all over, both here in the U.S. & other countries. Since I've been here, I've learned some things that I wouldn't have otherwise because of everyone sharing experiences & knowledge. We may not always agree, but we can express our opinions with each other. If we did all agree, it would be a very boring world.

I've always thought of a thread that goes off topic the same as in-person conversations do at times ... one thing leads to another.

I've never quite understood the anxiety some express over thread drift. To me, it's simply the natural cadence of conversation—fluid, adaptive, and often more revealing than rigid adherence to a single topic. In an open forum, where posts are freely accessible and visible to countless participants, it's only expected that responses will occasionally meander. I find no fault in that. In fact, such digressions often present unexpected opportunities to learn something new or gain a fresh perspective.

I like reading about the different experiences of people my age and sharing mine with them without all the drama or ads like a lot of other forums I have tried. Plus I am a photographer and love sharing my photos. There are people who have been on here forever and they have gotten to know each other, there is a large of old friends. The word clique has a negative connotation, I do not see a lot of negativity or exclusion here. Besides, like Groucho Marx almost said, I wouldn't join a clique that would have me as a member.

I like the wide variety of topics. Also the good will, the caring, and sharing. Interacting with all from around the world is great. It is special to interact with those where I grew up.

I love hearing members personal experiences. I also like that many here monitor to keep the forum, just for folks over 50. I love that we have members over 90. I like the humor. I like that we have members from different races, lifestyles, and social backgrounds. I like that if I am on any ignore list, I don't know about it. :ROFLMAO:

`This forum was the inspiration for my story that got laughs and approval from a recent family and friends get together. that included several tribal folks.

There were two great mesas separated by a great valley. Black haired people lived on one mesa and blonde haired people lived on the other. The great winds increased over the years, driving both tribes down in the valley. Finally they were so close, the elders from each tribe went out to meet. They looked at each other in amazement, seeing that all the elders had gray hair. They came together and played bingo and thus the first casino was born. :ROFLMAO:
