What do you have WAY too much of that you can't bear to part with?

Gaer

"Angel whisperer"
For me it's books! I have a HUGE collection of non-fiction books. History, philosophy, art, poetry, metaphysics, ancient cultures, (Egypt) Norse woodworking, etc. I've donated SO MANY and still have hundreds I read and brouse through almost daily. I could NEVER part with them! When I go into people's homes ,I can't understand why no one has any books! How can they LIVE?
I have a small collection of 1930's tin signs and tins, but most of those were stolen. Still have some all originals though. and tools! No one can have too many tools!

CDs. . . I have a bit of everything except rap and hard metal as I have very eclectic tastes (thanks to my father who was a musician). Used to have a huge collection of books but have moved so many times, that I donated most of my books to the library for their book sale and kept only my reference books, art books, and very special books. I get everything I want to read from the library these days. Thank goodness for my kindle during this lockdown.

Linens. I am a collector (read hoarder) of linens. Sheets, throws, comforters, blankets throw pillows....I love it all. I will periodically purge as I did when I moved in with Ron, but they’re starting to accumulate again.

As silly as it may sound my stuff is fabric and glass preserving jars
The fabric including non woven type I have has come in handy for making masks not only to take care of myself hubby ,my family as well
My daughter works in a aged care home where she has to have her own mask 😷 as they had / have a shortage of them.

The preserving jars allow me to preserve the fruit I grow myself , i preserved allot of extras that I’d normally give away (only last month here in Australia) right when the virus started taking hold here ,I know what I’m eating and don’t have to fight others in the supermarket to get a simple can of fruit
I’d thought of cutting back on the special preserving jars in fact I had already given some of my jars away ..oh how I’d wished I hadn't when bottling my apricots

HAHAHAHA. I can’t say but I also have plenty of books. Lots of reference books, DIY books, & novels. CD’s & DVD’s, photos, tools, and hair accessories. Oh and dog coats & sweaters, most of which I’ve made. 🥰

Then there are things I have WAY too much of that I don’t mind parting with and wish I had done so before this pandemic, like fabric, beads, imported and domestic woods. And preserving jars. 🤣

I have boxes of crafting ideas and a cabinet full of crafting supplies, bits and pieces of wood, ceramic tiles, craft paints and anything else I thought might be useful. Even if I decided to make something I don't want to add to my already displayed items.
I purged a lot last year but wasn't quite ready to give this part of my life up quite yet.
Also recipes. At least these are in decent order and I do try new ones from time to time.

Books which I plan to donate to the library for their sales. One of the ladies that brings my lunch each day belongs to the Library board. She plans to come by and sort through them with me. I am keeping my Gibran books and others I cannot part with.

This subject reminds me, all of the boxes under the 3rd bedroom bed that no one uses...They are pictures with some of my
parents when I wasn't born yet and my pictures in boxes....So when I get home, I will do my duty to throw some away
and keep the one's I treasure....(I have know idea when we will go home)…..But we are safe here...But Hubby is hurting..
Back trouble… Hopefully the next workup from the Choro Doctor, will fix him.. Mamma Mia...My Mom's saying, I take
after her....

I hope the hubby's back is put back in place by the chiropractor. Label the pictures for the next generation.

Dressy clothing from the days that I worked in the Corporate world. I need to get rid of 80% of it, but then I think about what I paid for them and I put it off for another day. We also have too many pieces of luggage from the days when we traveled a lot. Some things just don't want to leave on their own and must be forced out the door. I am not very good at that, but I am trying.

Please, please add notations on the back of the photos when you know the history. I got tubs of photos when my mom and dad passed, but have no idea who is in the pictures.
Yup

My brother and I poured over two huge boxes of photos a few months back
About a third went into a new hoozziss box

Ammo is one
and any tool

Now, my wife, she has a sea container full of wool and books
We'll be needing another container pretty soon
