What do you sit on while watch TV?

This old upholstered occasional chair with a spring seat.

The springs have sprung and I use a couple of bed pillows to raise the seat.

The chair is covered with an old Williamsburg Weavers coverlet that gets tossed in the laundry every two weeks.

I’ve been searching for a replacement without much luck.

I hate to pay a thousand or two for a replacement and haven’t seen anything at estate sales that is the right size or that I would be able to move without help.

Sadly, it’s easier to find someone to move a house full of furniture than it is to move one item.

I’ll probably just fuss and stew until one of us finally collapses. 😉🤭😂

It's a plastic outdoor chair that I bought to sit outside. But I discovered I like the height of it for getting up. My other chairs in the living room sit significantly lower and require me to work my legs much harder in order to get up.

The chair was $25.00 and the seat cushion around $30.00. And then there's an old pillow to cushion my back.

Then, like I've said, I can use it outside as well.

For laying down to watch TV, I've got a folding camping cot with 2 layers of foam mattress toppers and a pillow. That's much harder to get up from. But it is easy to relocate if I need to.

not mine .. but the same....

I have a big leather sofa, much like @hollydolly's. It has power recliners on both sides. Me and extra space is for the two little pups. Big square side table for drinks and snacks. I also keep a nail file, a hairbrush, eyedrops there for convenience.
It’s interesting how we all create our own little ‘command center’.

Mine is next to ‘my’ chair, my father’s was always his kitchen table, my mother’s mobile command center was a pouch on her walker.
