What do you splurge on?

Actually, my 'splurge' is the cost of the internet via Comcast... and also basic cable... when you are living on just S.S... believe me, that IS a splurge...but to me, its also a 'necessity.' I wish Comcast wouldn't have a monopoly...but they DO...Some people use Century Link (Qwest) ... but its even more expensive... a word I've learned to hate is: 'bundle.'

The cost of AT & T Uverse for Internet use only is a splurge for me too. I don't bundle anything, and there are a few choices of service where I live, but they all start out reasonable when you sign on ... but go through the roof in no time!
They want to force you to bundle TV, Internet and phone, and I just won't.

Cheaper Wi-Fi service is available too, but I worry about the security of going that route. ??
Anyone know anything about FreedomPop?

My loan just came through to purchase the car I've been leasing the last 3 years. I have less than 16,000 miles on the car and will be retiring in about 2 more years. Once I retire my mileage will drop to about half if that much so I do expect that the car I'm buying will be my last.

Right now, I have to consider my cable/phone/internet as a splurge as much of my time when not at work is spent up at my mother's. I don't want to cancel the service because I signed up back in 1985 and all the stations I had at that time and over the years have been grandfathered in so if I cancelled and then went back later, I would be getting significantly less than what I have now.
