What do you think about men wearing jewelry?

Looks like links still are popular in 2019, more HERE. :D

I wear cuff links, and have even converted some of my button cuff shirts to accept cuff links. I'm pretty handy with my sewing machine. I also discovered button covers that give the cuff link effect. I have five pairs of those little guys.

I am very impressed that you sew.......that is most definitely.. "cool beans"

Very cool Treeguy, I have two left hands with my sewing machine, almost new and has been sitting covered in the basement for years now.

My thread tensioner went bad, last year. I debated buying another machine, since my Brother rig is about twenty years old, now. Instead, I dug down, took the machine apart, bought a few parts from Amazon, and fixed that little sucker. It sews fine, now, although I have a feeling it'll be giving me more problems in the near future, based on a few new sounds I'm hearing as I sew. For a while, I was sewing pillow shams, for each holiday, for three pillows. That got old, after two years, so now we don't swap them out, anymore.

My grandfather was a tailor, I should say here. He had a very successful shop on Chicago's South Side, and I sat in wonder as I watched my grandmother sew on an old foot treadle Singer. My interest in sewing on a machine was a natural thing, for me. My Mom and sister never got the bug.

My Dad's shop, where he plied his trade as a master electrician, carpenter, and picture framer, got me into those things, which served me quite well when I started buying old houses and fixing them up, solo. My Dad was also a jazz drummer, and that got me into starting my own band, at eleven.

My Mom got me into baking at a very young age, and I got into cheffing by working restaurant gigs in high school.

We are all the sum total of our earlier life experiences, along with what we pick up along the way to our advancing years, right?

My son #2 loves to dress up, especially because he doesn't get to very often, not with his job as an installer for an ethernet company. He has a variety of shirts with french cuffs and a tasteful collection of cufflinks, most of which I've bought for him for birthday or Christmas. He has a couple of tie clips too, I think.

My Dad always wore cufflinks and tie clips. I have very fond memories as a little girl of putting those cufflinks in and clipping on the tie clip. He wore a watch too....well, everyone did back then! I remember getting watches as gifts over the years and wearing one all the time...at least until my cellphone became my only timepiece.

When I was married, the only jewelry I wore was my wedding ring and my watch, except at around age 40 I got a wild hair and got my ear pierced on my birthday. The earring didn't last long when I realized it really didn't work in the business world. To this day, I just wear a watch. Oh, and sometimes I wear my necklace in honor of my nephew who's in the Army that says "proud uncle."

I think jewelry on a man can be sexy....
920x920.jpg Travis.png.....Oooh Weee!
Although, I've been in love with Travis Tritt forever, doesn't matter what he is wearing... or not!

I used to wear tie clips and cuff links on occasion. That was a long time ago. I've got a little box of them somewhere. My only jewelry now is a simple wedding band, unless you count my pocket watch. But, I figure different strokes for different folks. If baubles make a guy happy, go for it.

"To each his own". Someone said it's a generational thing and they're probably more right than wrong.

To answer the question, I wear a wedding ring and a wrist watch. A $30 Timex but I do have a fancy watch that I keep in the bureau drawer that was a gift.

And along with "no jewelry", I also don't wear dresses, facial make-up, hair coloring, or a wig. I probably fit more closely into Gary's mode of dress. :D
