What do you think is the worst candy?

I'm in a minority here, but Skittles. Thankfully everyone else likes them, so I was able to trade each fun sized skittles for 2 or 3 other things muahahaha

Other unpopular opinions: I don't mind candy corn and circus peanuts (or at least, I don't hate it, but don't go out of my way to eat it. I don't think I've had either in decades)

I bought them fairly recently so my 13yr-old grandson could taste candy from the old days. Problem was, they don't taste the same as they used to. That big burst of not-clearly-identifiable, neither-peanut-nor-orange flavor is gone. It's just a little spongy thing about the size of your grampa's thumb.

I never knew what they were called, but yeah

Those soft marshmallowy things that resembled peanuts
but tasted like ill flavored foam

Googled it

They've been around since the 1800s
Why????!!!
Guess I'm the freak here - I LIKED circus peanuts. My grandmother used to give them to me when they were slightly stale - just a little hard on the outside but squishy on the inside. Always loved her and the candy. I like black AND red licorice. Also candy corn and Peeps (frozen or stale, not fresh).

Don't like super sour candy like Warheads (remember those from the 90s?). And not a fan candy that sticks to my teeth like caramel, Swedish fish, Mike & Ikes, and other gummies.

The worst has to be Lard Bars and Lard Stars.

Years ago they had all of these random fats to dispose of and thought "Hey, we can mix this with sugar and optionally a little vanilla, whip it, then let it set. We'll tell them that it is 'white chocolate' because they're dumb."

Never heard of these. The name enough would have been enough to put me off.

I just bought a bag of candy corn yesterday. I wanted some thing to put in my crystal candy bowl to look Halloweenie. They're almost gone already. They're just flavored corn syrup! Nothing to be afraid of! Now Lard bars, they sound pretty scary.

Ah yes stale Peeps, love them! I open the package and put it on the fridge top and let them get very stale!

What's the worst candy ever?
Atomic fireballs.

What did you hate to get in your Halloween bag?
A little box of raisins, popcorn balls or an apple, but I think the absolute WORST treat I ever received was a handful of loose potato chips thrown in my goodie bag. By the end of the night, they were just crumbs in the bottom. So bad I remember it to this day, however it was a really old woman and she probably didn't even know it was Halloween and had to grab something quick.

BTW - I like licorice , especially the black.

I've been reading this thread to my husband and we're laughing so hard we're crying. Horehound candy for kids? Unwrapped potato chips?
Old Christmas candy?

He did confess to me that he once threw up over a Three Musketeers bar. Now I know. The man can't handle his nougat.
