My friend sent me a list of my family's Chines zodiac signs. The one that didn't surprise me at all was my Husband because he came up as a Monkey.

Husband a Monkey
I am a Rooster
My son a Dog
My daughter a Snake
My oldest grandson a Rat
My youngest grandson a Tiger
My granddaughter an Ox
I was shocked by everyone's except my husband.

It's been a good 25 years now, but an old neighbour of ours who is gone now told me, "don't read horoscopes", it's bad luck.

She was religious, she read Tarot cards, and regularly would invite me over for an evening cup of tea which would turn into such a spooky event, I used to be scared and on edge to walk back home again by myself, even though I could see our house (lit) across the alleyway.

Since that time I stopped reading horoscopes.

My Chinese zodiac sign is a rabbit. Weird that it works by birth year, not month.

I only look up my sign out of curiosity. I just looked up the traits a Scorpio has and that's my sign. My Husband heard me laughing and he was in another room.

The 5 Top Reasons to Love Being a Scorpio

  1. Passionate and intense, your sign is sexy with a capital S. You don't even have to try, and know sexy is an attitude you can present just as well in sweats as you can in stilettos.
  2. You know what you want and go after it—no questions asked.
  3. You don't get intimidated easily, and stand up for injustice when you see it.
  4. You have a unique sense of humor. You're not afraid to say what other people are thinking, and your sometimes cynical take on the world is creative, smart, and funny as hell.
  5. You're passionate. When you decide to put your heart on full display, there's no stopping you—which is why you should do it more often!

In Chinese I'm a Goat...

In regular astrology I'm a sheep ( Ram)... which is Aries, of which I am archetypal...

My husband is a Rat in Chinese... in Regular astrology he's a Taurean... ( also archetypal)...

My daughter who is an Aries like me ... in Chinese is a Dragon....

I've read a lot about Chinese astrology, never found anything that's remotely like any of us in my family...

Hollydolly if you are an Aries That means you are Perfect and I know it's true because my daughter and granddaughter are Aries.🥰

I think that you need to be careful when choosing you
Chinese Zodiac Sign, especially if you were born in the
months of January 21st to February 20th in our calendar.

The Chinese New Year falls on a different date each year,
12 February 2021, but it will be the 1st February 2022.

I was born in August so I am OK I am a Snake, but a Leo
in the Gregorian Calendar, strangely the descriptions are
very similar, how does your star sign and Chinese Zodiac
look in the descriptions?

Mike.

I'm a Ram also in Chinese astrology. In regular astrology I'm a Taurus. Bull & Ram = a whole lot of strength if it can be channeled into proper directions. 🤗

In ancient times astrology was considered a valid science. No King or queen would ever go without one directing operations and astrologers had a preferential place at court.

Queen Elizabeth I of England had a beloved astrologer Dr. Dees who she consulted about everything. At her lowest point in life, he predicted that the stars indicted she would definitely become Queen of England and she did. She also remained loyal to him throughout her lifetime.

Wow. Well, astrology is a form of divination. Yet she read tarot cards and that was OK with her? She had an interesting mind.

Since I'm designated as a rabbit by the Chinese Zodiac, I would at least like to be a rather sinister and potentially dangerous, demented one such as that portrayed by Joey Fatone on "The Masked Singer." Here comes Peter Cottontail, folks...

Absolutely true. Worked with a woman who went on and on about Chinese horoscopes. I was born in 1958 so she said I was a Dog. She was always saying how it was good I wasn't a Rooster because they were mean like our boss. BUT I was born in early February and that actually did make me a Rooster. Didn't matter to me since I don't believe in it anyway.

I am a Scorpio and have never looked up my sign in the Chinese zodiac..not sure I am happy I did since it turns out Scorpios are pigs:oops:
:D
No not all Scorpios are pigs..lol... Chinese astrology depends on the year you were born not the month ( except January/February) ...

I'm an Aries born in April..I'm a Chinese goat or sheep... My daughter is also an Aries but she's a Dragon, because she was born in a different year
