What do you use more - Microwave or conventional oven?

I mainly use a conventional oven, I live alone so always have a top oven which saves on electricity, I find that is quite adequate with a couple of the hobs

I only use the microwave for heating things, never to actually cook

Microwave. I have a number of cooking containers for the microwave, which helps.

The oven uses a lot of energy, heats the house in summer, and most baked goods are off my diet. However for certain dishes it is hard to beat.

I rarely use my conventional Oven these days ..I prefer the Airfryer for most things now.. so between the airfryer, the microwave and the stove top..I have almost entirely stopped using the oven

A blend of all 3 appliances, depending on the container used and size of meal made.

Cooker/Oven for large quantities and big pizzas.

Microwave for quick heat through of canned soups and microwave meals such as macn'cheese or haggis.

AirFryer for chips and small items such as when we want crispy duck rolls šŸ˜‚

Conventional always. I don't want to radiate my food!
use an airfryer... ... I rarely ever cook food in my Microwave oven, just reheat tea.. or things that might take a few seconds to reheat.. I sometimes cook eggs in the MW because it literally take 45 seconds... but the AF is different. I even cook Pizza in there.. everything takes a much shorter time in the AF than it does in the oven... approx a 1/3 less time

I don't eat Canned soups... but I do heat beans in there.. and Haggis... so quick.. and no messy pans .. ( I use disposable plates)

The microwave is great reheating, so it’s used often. The toaster oven for small things. The conventional oven uses too much electricity and heats the house up. The stovetop is for cooking, not reheating.

Tonight I’ll cook the breaded fish fillets in the toaster oven, reheat the potatoes in the microwave, make a coleslaw and not sure what the other vegetable will be. If I decide to cook a squash, then it’ll be the microwave. If I were having F&C, it would be the whole oven.

Thanks Hols. I must do that. The microwave is for BF and guests. I do own one but quit using it more and more over time until I cannot remember the last time I actually did.

Since we've reorganised our shopping habits, we've found a new brand of canned soups that are simply delicious when we're not in the mood to make soups from scratch.

We get them at Aldi's. The latest autumn flavour is Spicy Parsnip. Yummy!

Yes I understand but not for me one they have too much salt in them and 2 regardless of brand they all give me horrendous heartburn, so I'm not really a soup eater, but when I do I always make my own from scratch...

Use conventional oven, air fryer, insta—pot, pressure cooker for canning, slow cooker and electric deep dish frying pan. Our microwave gets the least use. We enjoy cooking.
Tonight we had homemade Chinese food. The spring rolls are store bought.

We replaced our microwave with a toaster oven, some time ago. Do not have room for both. We rarely use the stove oven anymore.
