What do you want for Christmas?

My daughter is returning to the UK after living and working abroad for 11 years... she needs to buy a house , but the property near me is extraordinarily expensive and beyond her pocket , so she will have to ultimately buy a long way from here, so I would like to see a house within her price bracket near here underneath my tree... ( or hers as the case my be)

I love practical items. These past few years I've started to change things around in my home to make caring for it a little easier.
My mom had one of these tall stools in our home in the 50's. I'd love to have one for my kitchen.
I thought while prepping food or cooking in large amounts it might come in handy and the step stool would be perfect for my kitchen cabinets. Sometimes my mom would just sit while waiting for a pot to boil.
A laundry basket on wheels would be nice.
I wouldn't mind a new adult coloring book or a selection of embroidery thread either.

I had a doll given to me by my parents for Christmas a long, long time ago. I drank and wet (water) and it's head was a molded plastic with waves that looked like hair. I loved that doll. I am always checking the Thrift store and Value Village to see if anyone gets rid of a doll like that. Sigh...what a stupid wish!
Do you check out Ebay and Facebook market place ?

I don't think that is a stupid wish at all. When I was 4yrs old my Grandmother passed away in November. My Mom was so upset that she told my Dad we would not celebrate Christmas. My Dad felt so bad because I was only 4yrs old and my sister was 6yrs old. My Dad did not want us to miss the holiday,so he bought both of us dolls and put them in a basket and Christmas morning we got so excited when we saw them. They were SassySusie walking dolls. After all these years my sister and I still have them and we both still put them under our Christmas trees every year. We were even offered $1,000 dollars for them and refused to sell them, because they mean soo much to us.

This one is similar to the ones we have.s-l640.jpg

I have my mom's chair like this. It's dark brown. I covered the seat with fabric with matches my curtain.

What I want is for everyone to get along. Everyone. The unrest is trying.
