What exercise have you done today?

5.5 miles hiking on the trail.
40 minutes yard work chopping weeds.

I have been doing the one leg balance thing for a good while. The more one does it, the easier it is. It seems like it is also brain training too.

Well I did some yoga today and a bit of weight lifting. And tomorrow, I'm going to help my husband do some yoga because he's been having back pain. I have never seen anyone as inflexible as he is! No wonder he has back pains.

I just tried the one foot balancing thing again and I made it for 28 seconds! When I first tried it I only made it for about 3 seconds. But this time I did it in the Karate Kid Crane Kick position. It's amazing how much holding your arms up and out like that can help you balance. But is that cheating?

Can't see that it would be cheating, @Trade ... it's to help balance. Now if you're holding onto a chair with that one leg up, that may be considered cheating. 🤭

Still just doing the 10 minute work-out, but I've gradually upped my reps from 5 to 20 on each exercise.

I wish I could do some sort of cardio like Pepper (yay Pepper!) but my left leg isn't having it. What has strengthened leftie is having to put my full weight on it (well not "full" I'm holding onto the kitchen counter) while I do my grand battements and other ballet moves.

The 20 push-ups against the counter have really helped -- I can feel them in my abs as well as arms. I consider that my weight training.

I think we all deserve a cheer for keeping up our routines this long! Go on 2025!

Weighed in at 200 lbs even this morning.

Walked 2 miles on the nature trail.

Then did 12 single deadlifts with 150 lbs at 3 minute intervals. I had been thinking that my bar weighed 20 KG or 44 lbs, but I weighed it and it was only 40 lbs. So what I had thought was 70 KG or 154 lbs is actually only 150 lbs.

I have a little trouble lifting my ten pound dog. One fifty is awesome. So is a nice even number of pounds on the first day of the year!

I found this guy and love his upbeat "happy". Did him 01/01 and again this morning. Plus walked 3 miles both days so far.
Have decided to do more variety each day; switch it up so I won't be bored.

Are you serious? Of course you are! I have loved and adored Margaret Richard since the 1990s! She literally saved my life! Her & Howard Stern! I have VCR tapes of her shows for about 10 years, and her VCR tapes she made just for video. Still have my VCR.

What a pleasure to see her name, especially coming from you, Olivia.

Gads I totally ADMIRE swimmers! IMHO swimming is likely a near perfect exercise.
I can swim, but about 100 meters, let alone 1000 meters.

Do you vary your strokes, or have a favorite stroke?
