What favorite things or events do you think might start again as vaccination rates rise?

I'm hoping that South First Fridays, the free gallery and museum walk around First Street in San Jose might start up again in June. Even if one needs to wear a mask I'd be happy to attend and wouldn't be bothered by crowds.

I'm also hoping that the Open Studios program in San Francisco that happens in October will be held this year as well. I'm also fine with attending it even if masks are required.

I'd be happy to attend some outdoor music shows, but I'm not sure I'm ready to get back into the clubs to see live music.

I'm also ready to do more bicycling in areas which are usually somewhat crowded such as the bike path through Monterey or along the Embarcadero in San Francisco.

I also won't be as hesitant to take a trip to the store to pick something up even if I have to wear a mask.

When vaccinations are available to my sons (in their 30s, so last on the list), I look forward to family gatherings that aren't masked and distanced. My daughter, DIL and SIL are all in high priority fields of healthcare and education so they've begun the vaccination process.

I'm looking forward to taking our RV out - very soon, I hope.

Spring, Summer, and Fall festivals 💕. Oh I miss them. And HUGGING! Not an event, but I miss them😢

AndI just want to go to a restaurant without feeling like I am committing the crime of the century!

There are two things I live for: my next meal and attending/watching youth sports.

Yes, I know gluttony is a "deadly sin" but who the heck cares? After all, you only have one life to live. That's why I make gourmet type meals every day. Yum!

Every year at this time St Paul has girls club level volleyball and I love to watch my two neighborhood clubs. Years ago I coached their parents in baseball/softball so this makes it especially fun for me. Sadly, I cannot attend youth sports at the moment because of health concerns. Ach, it hurts to so to have to stay home. But I have no choice for now. When/if the all clear signal is given this Summer, I will assemble a schedule of youth sports such as baseball, softball, soccer, and other sports to watch. Then, hopefully, I will be able to watch and have fun again. And yes, I will still wear a mask because I've had the experience of catching pneumonia and strep in Summer.

Everyone please stay well.

I am looking forward to going to rallies again with our travel trailer. I also miss going to all the stores I want and really looking around. When I take my dogs to the vet, I am looking forward to going in with them instead of the vet calling me on my cell phone after they examine them. I will gladly wear a mask and stay in the car until they take them inside.

I'm hoping my son and his DJ partner will be able to host their House Music parties again at a local club. Their family, friends and fans would come to socialize, enjoy the music and dance. I used to be on the floor all night. The young people were amazed and jealous. LOL :D I'm also hoping to fulfill my goal of taking 8 weeks (not concurrent) vacation at my ocean front timeshare. I spent 6 weeks there in 2019 but only one last year.

I belong to a bicycling club and used to go on almost all their bike runs and to their swap meets, with anywhere from 30 to 100 other cyclists, I'd say, and at least one run major every month. All were cancelled last year and haven't started up again yet. I'm anxious to get back to that. Anxious for our various flea-markets to come back, too. The Steam-Punk and Antique Fair was a favorite.

I don't know how I could forget. COVID shut down our senior centers. I don't know when or if they'll reopen. They are funded by the county and who knows if they have the funds to revamp the centers to fit the social distancing protocols. I made some nice friends there, got good meals and did fun group exercises and dance twice a week. I miss it.

If all things fall into place I am thinking that there will be huge events corresponding with the start of the NFL season (in the US anyways). If all is back to "normal" I can see the NFL hosting huge "coming back" events in every city that is hosting a game opening weekend including musical festivals and major tailgating events. I hate to use the word "celebration", but I think if something like that happens, it would be a huge collective sigh of relief.

On a personal level, I will enjoy just being out in public again without having that paranoia feeling running around in the back of my brain. As mentioned earlier, it will be nice to be able to go out to eat again without the creepy feeling I get when I do now. And if things are back to normal by Fall, I will enjoy all the outdoor activities that were cancelled last year. I will keep my masks around though for those times in the summer when we get the nasty dust storms. I never thought of wearing one before when we had them but I will from now on.
