We have a dishwasher that serves more as a drying rack since we basically wash the dishes before using the 25 minute quick cycle. If we use the normal wash on dirty dishes, they do not get clean. But it has lasted 3 times longer than our previous 2 dishwashers so we are sticking with it.
Our frig leaks water out the front produced from the defrost cycle. A pad of paper towels under the vegetable drawer, rung out daily, takes care of it. When it gets colder I will put all the food out on the porch and frozen items in coolers and defrost the whole thing - I suspect a drain is frozen shut.
Our giant ancient deep freeze in the basement requires a bungee and a strategically placed bin to keep the lid tightly closed. I think I would have to cut the thing in pieces to remove it! It still works well otherwise.
