What Have You Accomplished Today?

I'm had few accomplishments so I don't remember any. Just finished a book by an Naval Admiral entitled "Make Your Bed." He suggest making your bed each morning so you'd at least have one accomplishment for the day and might encourage others. He was an ambitious cuss. I'm an old dog who hunts no more. Accomplishment are few. Can still tie my own shoes. Does that count for anything?
Lots of good accomplishments in your post!

Up at 4:30 a.m. Shower, shave, feed dog, eat breakfast. Put dog out. Get dog in. Load clubs and drive to course. Played 18 holes of golf. Won $1.00!!!!! Drove home. Fixed a Cracked Black Pepper Salami with Pepper Jack Cheese sandwich for lunch. It's only noon, but about nap time.

After straightening up the house I went to the drug store and bought a dental water pik recommended by my dentist.
It is supposed to clean between teeth and be more gentle on gums than floss.
I hope it works because it wasn't cheap.

I just bought 2 containers of dental floss for 1.89 each. My dentist keeps telling me to use it. Sometimes I do and often I don't. Hope the water pik works out for you.

You all are doing way too much. I used to be OCD about having everything in order....somehow it disappeared along with my memory, hearing, etc.

I fed and petted my cat, fixed a very nice breakfast and lunch, loaded the dishwasher, made bed &polished the furniture in my room, watched CNN to hear Jared speak his few words of B-S, then watch a taped Dateline--my favorite TV show.

It's only 3:00, so I may clean my bathroom and fridge, then again, I may not. I wish I could have may OCD back for 1 day a week for housecleaning.

You did a lot!

I unloaded and then reloaded the dishwasher, hand washed some dishes, opened the window and let the wonderfully cool air in, slept on and off for how long I don't know.

I want to be where you are, Ruthanne, to let that wonderfully cool air in. That won't be in the Carolina's until almost Thanksgiving, sometimes not even then. Sounds great tho.

Accomplished nothing today as still trying to connect a dvd/vcr combo to a newer computer and no luck so far I have
been doing this for a week but I wont give up I like challenges .. I did clean out all the junk mail off my computer and general jobs
round the home but otherwise always another day to accomplish what I need to do .. also still trying to work on restoring photos that is
a bit of a failure with me :)

Took my husband to a doctor appointment, cleaned the bathrooms, steam mopped the floors, did three loads of laundry, picked up the dog's prescription at Costco, made a batch of hazelnut oatmeal bars, watched an episode of Preacher and one of Happy Valley.

Up early, couldn't sleep. Made banana bread, zucchini bread. Next will be apricot upside down cake. Applesauce cake later. No applesauce until the grocery store opens. Have swept terrace, picked Egyptian mint and tomatoes. Fertilised plants. I think I will make pancakes on the grill. Hungry!

We will never know for sure, Mount Pilot and Mayberry are fictional places.

Some people say that the were modeled after Pilot Mountain and Mt. Airy.

My wife is a huge Andy Griffith fan, so we had to swing by Mt. Airy on our way back from Maine a few years ago.

I went out to the garden and picked some cucumbers and tomatoes, weeded a bit. They came out easy because of all the rain we have been having. I came in to put a casserole in the oven and heard a loud bang. Like a shot. The oven door spring had broke. I had to take the drawer out to get to the spring. The next 3 hours was spent on the computer trying to find a replacement. Darn thing cost $9.00 plus shipping. Also cleaned the drawer out and floor under the stove. This definitely was not on my to do list. But it's done.

This is the first time in a long time I could let the air in the window. Sounds like it stays really hot in the Carolina's. I hope you will catch a break before Thanksgiving-that's a long time to wait.
