What have you bought recently?

Late last night I got distracted in blog post about a pair of shoes similar to my indoor shoes/slippers. Decided I’d like them in a pale colour for summer. Merrell seems to have quit manufacturing them. Found the last pair of black on Amazon. $140 later, I’ll soon have a second pair. They are worth it, imo. This same site did have the cream coloured one for $175 ($200 with taxes). I didn’t want those that much.

This Linen top in M&S this afternoon , after I bought some pineapple tarts and a few other bits of nice food....

I should have added that the reason the cleaning lady recommended buying the carpet cleaner is because I eat an awful lot of popcorn. I eat a big bag within 3 days constantly. Because of that, I leave little white pieces of the popcorn all over the house. Every morning, I take my manual sweeper and run it over the carpeting and rugs. Works well, but using a robot will work better.

@Been There, Whenever I start eating popcorn, I can’t stop. In the summer it’s available at the Farmers Markets. In the winter, I buy Smart White Popcorn at Walmart. It’s not their house brand. It’s also all over my floor. Fortunately there’s no rug.
 
Just remembered that I returned the pricey, brand name sheets from a couple of weeks ago. I put the pillowcases on and didn’t like the feel. Replaced them with a different set from another store. I buy a queen set and replace the top sheet with a double size flat. I hate the top sheet slipping out from the blankets.

Yeah, it does detract from the cleanliness of the house. I keep a clean home, but those popcorn pieces makes it look dirty. I like White Cheddar and Sweet & Salty. No butter. It’s all fake butter.
 
In theme of keeping the floors clean, yesterday DH bought a Rubbermaid manual floor washer for the kitchen. Fill the reservoir with liquid, squirt the liquid and give the floor a quick swipe. He has a different mop system for the rest of the floors.

For the popcorn crumbs, we use a Dyson Hand Vac.

That does look chic Holly, any chance of seeing you model it? Tell you what, I wasn't going to say, it could come across as boasting, but I have an appointment with my tailor tomorrow. I'm hoping that he can reproduce a rather appealing, that's appealing to me, 1930's style suit. As you were, jacket. Just the suit jacket, blazer style. When it's finished I will pose in it, but only if you show us yourself in the M&S linen top. What do you say? Here's my (future jacket/blazer.)

I spent $15.90 online for gomphrena seeds. And $8 and change at Lowe's for the part that wasn't covered by the rest of the gift card. There's $17 and change left on the Home Depot card.

Big leaf begonias. Angelonia. Sunpatiens. And other stuff. It's all planted because we're expecting rain tonight, all day tomorrow and tomorrow night and all day Saturday.

I forgot to mention that shipping on the gomphrena seeds was free. Free is good.
